Bolton Atmosphere
Well done lads! I though the atmosphere on Saturday was pretty good – especially considering we went 1-0 down and the noise continued. I sit just down from the Red Action section but can honestly say that there was equal noise coming from my left and even the upper tier above me were starting chants. Not to mention the other end - when they get going loud enough to be heard, and our end pick up on it this in when we get songs ringing around the whole ground it seems!
FYI – For all those who didn’t travel to Newcastle, there really was no comparison in terms of the home support. This should make us proud but not complacent. Lets raise it even more from now on, keep turning up the notches, and really start to intimidate.
I think we really lifted the boys and now we can be confident of champion’s league again next season with a more experienced side than this one.
PS. Have you seen how we are now middle of the table in the Daily Mirror / People (?) supporter’s league (whatever that really means). We can still climb higher between now and then end of the season!!!

Exactly. I did shout "Where are you going? Support the team!" to a line of people a couple of rows in front of me, disappearing 5 minutes before half-time, but they either didn't hear or didn't have an answer. So I was well pleased when they missed Cesc's winner. I have no idea why these jokers bother turning up.

Yeah the atmosphere was good on Sat, really helped the players which is what they need.
As for those wankers whoo missed Cesc's goal, hahahaha!!!! I bet you were the same one's who missed Henry's late winner against manure too. Pathetic.
I think these lot will never change, as they don't know what being a supporter is all about. So for the rest of us, we'll just have to sing even louder to make up for the new breed!

I am in amongst the prawn sandwich brigade tomorrow for the City match. Not going to turn it down as I am being taken by Barclays Bank but you will spot me as I will be the only person in the middle tier at the beginning of the second half and I will sing regardless of the fact that I will probably never be asked again because of it.
If its free I would be stupid to turn it down

I happen to miss Cescs goal, not because i don't know how to be a supporter but because I didn't leave the stands till the final whistle blew for half time and que for the girls toilets is always a lot longer then the mens and then had to que for 10mins to get a drink, so don't tar everyone with the same brush, and think before you speakGooner_mojo wrote:Yeah the atmosphere was good on Sat, really helped the players which is what they need.

If the que was that big, why did you join it knowing you could miss the start of 2nd half, i mean after all its only a bloody drink! It's your own fault for missing the goal.Romana wrote:I happen to miss Cescs goal, not because i don't know how to be a supporter but because I didn't leave the stands till the final whistle blew for half time and que for the girls toilets is always a lot longer then the mens and then had to que for 10mins to get a drink, so don't tar everyone with the same brush, and think before you speakGooner_mojo wrote:Yeah the atmosphere was good on Sat, really helped the players which is what they need.

Because I'm 6 months pregnant and it was a very hot day. I couldn't have gone another 45mins without a drink. Women do not always have the same luxuries as a man, that dosen't make them any less a supporter!!!!!!!!!Gooner_mojo wrote:If the que was that big, why did you join it knowing you could miss the start of 2nd half, i mean after all its only a bloody drink! Romana - You have timed that well having the baby close season.
I think you should have asked Gooner_mojo to buy your drink for you whilst you went to the loo
Why are there just beer sellers around with portable bottles/tanks of beer and not water sellers hey
Maybe because the % of pregnant women in the ground is too small.

Dicko- Rumours are that if your waters break in the ground then you get a free season ticket. Don't know if thats true, don't know anyone it has ever happen to.
Gooner-mojo would never have gone and got my drink for me, coz then he might have had to have been one of the "pathetic wankers" who missed the goal.
Not enough women go (let alone pregnant ones) to warrant any special treatment, am not moaning about that, just didn't like being insulted coz i missed the goal, dosen't make me any less a supporter then anyone else just makes me female

given they don't allow you to take bottles of water in, the club should provide drinking fountains. but then they wouldn't be able to sell bottles of the stuff for £1.50 a pop or whatever it is. in japan for the 2002 world cup, they let you take water in - they just made you pour your bottle into a giant paper cup - which is fair enough. i've had bags searched before at arsenal, but never my person, so i'd just stick a bottle out of sight (inside jacket pocket or something) and get one in that way instead of buying one inside.
