Chelsea in for Anelka and Utd for Berbatov

Sky Noos has just said that Chelsea are gonna bid 10M for our former starlet and Utd are prepared to offer Saha+Brown+6M to try and prise Berbatov away from SHL!

As I said before, SkySports are full of shit but you never know. Berbatov moving away from Spuds, will make them worse but then, he hasn't been that good this season. Now about Anelka, he is a proven goalscorer and with Drogba and Kalou leaving, they need a proper striker who will score goals as Pizarro and Chavchenko are unproven. I think we should hijack the move for Anelka, he is quality for 10 million

I have championed the signing of anelka for a long time but I have to say now I dont see the point in it as he is cup tied in europe. It may well be that after screwing up the topping of our champs lge group we get a tough draw and exit in the next round but surely we still have to be planning further than that ? As for the whole barbietov to manure thing I just dont see the wisdom of it - I think that manure, like us, need a pacey striker up front to provide the threat in behind. Shows how confedent we are about further investments in our own squad now that we are given to talk about our rivals potential investments

Manure have bought loads of players over the years just so that they don't go to their rivals. I wouldn't be surprised if they go for Berbatov. Lets face it, they have plenty of money to throw about being such a big wealthy club
