Third shirt

Third shirt

Post by Wayno »

I was recently in JJB Sports and a woman in front of me in the queue for the checkout asked the shop assistant if he could print her sons name on the third shirt which she was purchasing. The assistant said that as they only had Premier League numbers and lettering, they would be unable to fulfill her request as the shirt was only for international use (Champions League) and that JJB Sports could be sued if they did not comply.

I notice that the team are wearing the third shirt tonight with Premier League numbering and lettering. Has anyone else experienced such utter bollocks from JJB Sports?

It's a strange shirt
The back was completely dark for one game then back to the normal style
This is why i haven't got it yet but they def print out the prem names & numbers on the 3rd shirt & at least one trip we will wear it for in the prem, as i can think of Sunderland at the end of the season but i hear there making this our away shirt next season :?

That was in the Champions League against Prague. You'll notice that all teams who wear hoops/stripes/halves have a solid colour on their back for the Champions League games because UEFA don't like having numbers over different colours. Therefore, teams like Celtic will have a solid colour (white) over the back of their strip, but return to hoops on the back for domestic games. So don't be put off of buying the shirt for this. It's only silly UEFA rules!

You should be put off of buying it because we will only wear it another two or three times, though!
