So much for blind justice :(

I can understand, but certainly not condone, this behaviour on the streets, but it's quite scary that it's found its way into the court room :?

I can only assume that there is more to this story that hasn't been reported. If not, it's very sad indeed.

I can't believe that underneath the article there is a comment agreeing with the decision...suggesting that misrepresenting yourself to get sex is rape....
That would mean every woman i have ever been with raped me... since being caked in make up, wearing padded or push up bras, or having dyed hair surely must be classified as misrepresenting yourself...Not to mention the fake i'm mr/miss perfect act that pretty much everyone on the planet has gone through when meeting someone new, are they all rapists to..

There is a fuss about this case in Israel, and most comments I can see in the Israeli media are as G88ner mentions, wondering if there was more to this story than has been reported.
Man lied about being Jewish and being single (he was an Arab and married), but there is nothing mentioned about coercion.
I expect him to be released after legal appeals fairly soon if the facts are as reported, various lobbying groups there have taken up his case.

When i first saw the thread title thought it was going to be a piss take....

clicked on the link and saw the name daniel and thought reb had gone millitant on daniel d...... :shock: :roll: :oops:

Have to say on reading that report there is no way the guy should be imprisoned. As mentioned above ALL of us blokes have told a white lie or a story to a beautiful lady to get her in the sack.....

She consented....

She should be charged with wasting police time. And the judge who ruled on the case should be struck off.

...it really is a sad state of affairs.

....but then the same shit happens over here too on all kinds of different levels.
