Prem Years!

Post by mattbanger »

Just watched the 03/04 season and we were wonderful!!

I forgot how good that squad were!
Although i really enjoyed reliving those moments they were tinged with saddness as i can not ever see Arsene ever building another side to match the invincables!

God i miss those players and the team spirit was amazing and so was good old Highbury

So depressed about the shit we have wearing the shirt at the moment! what must that team think now!

There is a great quote from Arsene who says "the main priority is to develop further and continue to dominate!" What happened there then boss!

the thing is we had such balls and desire to win in this team and of course the quality that our players had! i would give anything to have bobby, titi, paddy, Freddie, dennis, gilberto and even nutty Jens in our team now!

The 03/04 season review is one of my favourite DVDs :barscarf:

Always stick it on to cheer myself up when we've been humiliated by Stoke or some shit :banghead:

love and hate this programme.reminds me how proud you'd be to walk down the street in your shirt and how all the surrey mancs, plastic scousers and swamp dwellers used to keep their mouths shut.now we even get stick of the likes of bolton & stoke.

so sad to see where weve ended up now,how far weve fallen and how few match winners weve now got

Used to love watching those DVDs, bit depressing now. Even the classic, go to 100% guaranteed pick me up of 'classic victories against spurs' is tainted. And all can be remedied with a couple of quality signings.

Still, while there's time, there's hope!

As Echo and the Bunnymen once sang...... 'Nothing ever lasts forever'.

At least we shared in the moments and have the memories.

Better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all.

I enjoy these programmes, such good memories - and always make me laugh to see some of the awful players that the Spuds have had over the years!

What you need to remember with 03/04, they wernt just some of the best players to play for us, they were some of the best EVER to play football in this country, so to expect that level every season is asking a lot.
