january signings

Post by nikman 89 »

heard on the grapevine that modric is coming and diarra gilberto and tomas are going, apparantly the little check has not settled in england, for me personally he has not reached the standards of his national performances, gilberto well he goes with same legendary status as pat, bobby pires ,overmars etc, diarra has been unlucky as flamini has surprised us all, i have seen luka modric and he is half decent but 15 million way too much for a player who will more for next season

Sat Nav is going nowhere, for a full stop. January sales are usually rubbish, no-one left in the CL wants an unavaialble player, (except us strangely with No 25) and the top teams just don't find no bargains. It'll be mainly loans for anyone leaving us with the big movers come summer.

ALTHOUGH DIARRA CLAIMED AFTER THE BLACKBURN GAME THAT HE WAS HAPPY AT ARSENAL - AND I FOR ONE WOULD BE SAD TO SEE HIM GO - IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME TO SEE BOTH HIM AND GILBERTO LEAVE IN THE TRANSFER WINDOW.

HOWEVER, I DO HOPE YOU'RE WRONG ABOUT TOMAS. ALTHOUGH HE HAS YET TO REACH THE HEIGHTS OF HIS TRUE POTENTIAL, I BELIEVE HE IS DOING A DECENT JOB FOR US AND WILL GET EVEN BETTER.

I LOVE THE WAY THE GAME INSTANTLY SPEEDS UP WHEN HE HAS THE BALL AT HIS FEET. ADD TO THAT THE WAY HE LINKS UP WELL WITH HIS MIDFIELD COLLEAGUES AND THE FORWARDS, AND ALL HE IS LACKING IS A FEW GOALS. I ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT - UNLIKE EBOUE - HE DOESN'T SHIRK A TACKLE AND WORKS HIS NUTS OFF EVERY GAME HELPING HIS FULL-BACK TO DEFEND. 8)

your right about eboue most fans are getting a little p***** off with his attitude and if we go with a more offensive team next time as the 1 up front is not working he will not get in the team-my team would be almunia, sagna toure gallas clichy then hleb fabregas flamini rosicky and nik and ade up front, when toure goes to the anc i think we should play song he is alot more calmer on the ball then swiss tony and we dont play any of the big four until march so he will be ok

Nikman there is no dilemma - once van persie is fit he starts end of story. Christ we dont half get carried away with ourselves at times dont we ? Ade in my opinion is still nowhere near good enough to be no.2 striker at a club like ours and bedtner is still unproven. Both CAN come in and do a job but we need 2 strikers that we know WILL come in and do the job at least 9 games out of 10 - that my friends is the reality of top level football.

I am beginning to see traces of hypocricy in wenger of late - he says that the influx of top foreign players into the premiership should inspire the british young players to raise their standards but at the same time he doesnt like bringing in players to Arsenal that will inhibit the development of the young players at our club. Surely this introduction of new established talent will encourage the young players at our club to raise their standards too ? If he is saying that young players need games to develop then the introduction of the foreigners will prevent british & irish kids from getting their chance and it goes against his whole arguement. Of course it could be just that he hasnt cash to invest or is afraid to paying the going rate for players nowadays

Personally I hope rosicky stays & diarra too for that matter. Bert has been a good servant to the club but as he is now looking off the pace and still keeping diarra out of the 16 man squad then i would sell him in jan. Shocking to say that we stand a very real possibility of selling more players than we buy in january

well i think eboue should go because personally i do not think we need him any more and also i think his attitude is completely wrong , his diving is unneeded and and also his attitude to other players on the other team is that they are prey , and he is the hunter and he has a very aggressive nature. but on the other hand i completely disagree that rosicky is going , he has said in many interviews that he is enjoying life here , so i disagree with that rumour.

He barely touched his transfer budget in the summer and we have £70 million for the summer so that isn't the trouble. Augie, it is a balancing act, experienced heads even if not in first 16 can help guide young players but at some point, the young one has to be given a first team spot or be sold if he is to fulfil potential. Having served as first choice for so long, it isn't surprising if we then sell the player to somewhere where they fit.

I don't see the need to sell any players in January unless they are rocking the boat. As for additions to the team, someone in goal if Jens isn't going to be given first place back, cover for the left wing and maybe a loan striker. I would imagine however any buys we do get are aimed at adapting in time for next season rather then having major effect now

7 million or 70 million dont matter wenger will not spend it,i hate these transfer windows chavs will get a couple of big names anelka deco etc manure will get a couple even ramos will go back to seville and get fabiano, navas big signings in my opinion and we again will just loan out a couple,we can keep saying we don't need anyone but it is still frustrating i would go for lahm and ribery, they can still play champs league

Unless I am mistaken any player that has played in the uefa cup this season can not go and play in the champs lge for a different club. A manure fan argued with me over this on fri night but I still believe this rule to be in force - can anybody confirm or contradict me on this ??

Nik, we may never buy stars (get used to it, we make them) but we got in Ade and Reyes in the Jan transfer windows so I can see us getting somebody

in my opinion, we should get rid of the following-

lehman - some german club will take him
senderos - mite get £1m for him
eboue - a total wanker
gilberto - great servant, but past it
walcott - on loan, for more 1st team ezperience

every1 knoes a ch is needed, cause i dont think djouro is the answer (c that throw in on sat?? :? )
id also do whatever 2 get anelka back, cause i believe he could be the difference in finishing 1st or 2nd.
