Liverpool Away!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Post by mikeyb772001 »

Ive never been Anfield before and am starting to get really excited about it! Got my tickets and the trains is now booked with those money grabbing *word censored* at Virgin!
Just wanted to know where is the best pub to go, and if we should get a taxi to the ground? Were getting off at Lime Street!

Arkles on Anfield Road (which is where the away end is) is the "away" pub, although you do get a fair few scallies in there. Nice atmosphere, good banter and all that bollcks. Enjoy :barscarf:

I'm heading up as well, but getting a lift, where is the best place to park? Ideally like to park in a secure car park, don't fancy asking some scouse kid to mind my car :D

Just opposite the park on same side of Anfield Road next to a graveyard you can pay a 5r and park it in someones house (they convert to car park for about 50 or so)

Alternitively my cousins mate last year called up Anfield and they sorted him parking in the fans car park (couplea thousand places...)

We always park in Evertons ground ( Goodison ) £5/£10 but very secure and easy to get out of after.

If your early enough you can park in the MD,s spot

yep Arkles place to go, been to anfield twice and seen us win twice so fingers crossed a hatrick of wins...I am actually really confident about this game, there only signing Joe Cole doesnt make there defence better and before anyone mentions ours.....Id rather have our defence than theres. I think we will smash the scousers....not that sure about the rest of the season but for this game 3 points is on the cards

See you there!

Made my first trip to Anfield last year.. Ended up walking all the way from Lime Street to the ground, wouldn't recommend it though, a good 45 minute walk.
Still undecided whether to go this year, ticket and train is about £100+ and I'd rather spend the money on other fixtures. :(
