Marquez VS Diaz II THIS SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by northbankbren »

If the fight this Saturday is half as good as the first fight then we are in for a cracker.

I think both guy’s ventures into heavier weights clearly didn’t pay off and lightweight is the perfect weight for both fighters. This I think could be another classic both guys lost their last fights, both guys with something to prove.

I think the fight will start fast, but I don’t think diaz will be as fast as he was in the first and will try and be more methodical in his approach. This I feel will lead into Marquez’s hands. The first fight will be on both fighters minds and this will give the advantage to Marquez....does Diaz really believe he can beat him, the light-welter experience he got will help. But at lightweight Marquez is the man.

I think this fight will end earlier than the first.....Im gunna go for Marquez to win by stoppage round 5-7.

Also on the undercard George Groves who on his American debut which I am really looking forward to!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marquez stoppage round nine.
He just has too many skills for Diaz.

Hey Quartzy, I have to admit that part of me also feels that Diaz could pull it off....only by early ko.....Im very tempted to put on a diaz ko bet in first 4 rounds....prob wont though.

I've heard Khan will be there to see casamayor and guerrero, haye will be in groves corner so a few announcments may be made in vegas this weekend....hopefully!!!!

Bren, what did you think of George's performance last night - he seemed to have got better as the fight went , but i felt the yankee ref stopped the other bloke too quickly - he did catch him with a nice shot, but the other bloke didn't look in trouble, also it probably didn't help George fighting in an empty stadium

Marquez also look good in main fight, totally out fought Ruis - I can't believe Amir Khan actually thinks he is up with these two fighters - Marquez has been in with Mayweather and Pacquiao. I think Khan would get smashed up even if he fought Michael Katsidis

Yep thought that ref propabley stopped it a bit too early. Was impressed with George although last couple of fight it seems to have taken a couple of rounds to really get into his flow, as he did last night. But he shows character not to get drawn out of his game plan when things dont go to plan straight away. Sure the empty stadium didnt hurt but he''ll be used to that due to the appearances on Haye undercards. Hopefully we'll see groves defending his commonweath title in a couple of months.

As for Marquez, he once again looked the business at lightweight, although as i thought diaz played into his hands a bit with his tactics, but then after the first fight there was no way he was going to be less cautious. As for khan? Didnt he say he wanted to unify the light-welter division? At lightweight I think khan would struggle against Marquez and yep even katsidis, but I cant see Amir fighting below light-welter where both fight would be an easier task for him.

Marquez is now after pacman so we'll have to wait and see, but whatever happens there should be a few more very intersting fight before the year is over. :box:
