Boo?!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Boo?!

Post by Gooneroonie »

I have been reading in the press today that Stuart Pearce has said that Arsenal fans were booing the team last night. Now, I heard some frustration when we conceded a sloppy goal, but I didn’t hear any boos. If this did happen it is disgraceful and embarrasses the club – undoing all the hard work those who are getting behind the team are doing. Haven’t we learnt that a game is 90 mins long yet?!

Can others who were sitting elsewhere please confirm if they heard boos – and please also confirm that they punched the person who they saw was booing?!

there was a tiny amount of booing in the west stand when the ref blew the whistle to end the first half. maybe two seconds long and about 50 various dispersed idiots. if i heard it, pearce would have too. but it didn't compare to the west ham game, when the team were booed because fans had got so frustrated at the ability to convert chances. so pearce was wrong to make a point about it. it was nothing.

Didn"t hear no booing but there were lots of moans about two players Eboue and Helb. Helb really is having a poor end to the season his passing is so poor.As for Eboue yes he made the 1st goal but defensivley he just can"t concentrate.
Cesc and Tomas were brilliant though

I thought Hleb had a good game last night and looked like he actually WANTED to shoot.

Just now on 6-0-6, there was a Man City fan slagging us off, saying she couldn't believe we were booing our own team even though we were winning, and that we had the Highbury Library but now have the Emirates Reading Room.

there was no booing in the north bank as stated above just a bit of frustration at the crazy krout and the usual arrrrrggghhhhh when hleb gets the ball and again when we string 35 passes together and end up passing it back to the crazy one in goal rather than some one having a dig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard booing this season at home, but then it seems to stop once the early leavers have gone. Maybe a connection there....?
