Joe Hart to Sunderland???

Joe Hart to Sunderland???

Post by jrthgooner »

Have just seen this rumor on the internet and am slightly concerned that we have not made a move for him.

Even if it is on loan he is a million miles better than anything we have in this dept currently and if Wenger wants to save money a loan deal works.

If he fails to land Hart because he is Citys number 1 then I would happily take Shay Given from them

Joe Hart is far too good a keeper for us. Better to buy some random unknown who is utterly useless rather than spend money improving the team. Always remember Arsene Knows.

Man City would never loan us Joe Hart, you'd have more chance of getting a round of drinks from Rebel than that happening...

Then why don't we buy him? If Wenger could justify spending £10m on an unknown centre back then a player who could easily be Englands number 1 for the next 15yrs is worth the investment.

Surely £10m would get him or Shay from them??

Sadly Wenger doesnt believe the position of goalkeeper is important how else do you explain Almunia being our number 1 keeper for the last 3 seasons. If he really wanted to sign a top class keeper he could have got Given for £6m.When you look at the top 6 clubs in the country who has the worst keeper by far?

Wenger doesn't rate young keepers. He's always coming out with this stuff about how a keepr isn't in his prime until he's in his 30s. I'm certain that's why he's stuck with Alfoolnia. He got burnt by Richard Wright and has never seemed interested in any up and coming keeper because of course he knows best.

Gordons injured.
Can't remember what (and can't be arsed to search) but he broke somethink early in pre-season.
A short term loan for Hart would make sence.

What about Fabianksi??
Yeah but he was not brought in as an automatic first choice keeper. Lehmann was still at the club, he also had Almunia in front of him. With the exception of Wright, Wenger hasn't really ever gone out and got a young, star keeper. I don't know whether he doesn't believe they are good enough in their early-mid 20s and that they are better in their early 30s. Saying that, knowing him, it's proably a value for money thing?
