ANYONE GOING TO MEMBERS DAY TODAY?? IS CESC THERE??

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This isn't just make or break for Cesc - in a way his future is clear cut.

But for Wenger this is it.

If we belly flop again, just how is Wenger going to wave Cesc bye-bye and then assure the rest of us in August 2011 that "this is the season we break the drought" but without our one top class player ?

If we could not win anything with him how do we pull off that feat when he goes ??

This is make or break for Wenger and he must know it !
I think he pretty much knows it now.

Clip of Cesc's return.

Didnt think he looked overly happy in that clips rebs tbh :?
Easy to read too much into these things either way though augie. Could just as easily be that he didn’t wanna milk the applause too much. We all know his first choice would have been to leave given the chance, so it’s bound to be a bit of a balancing act for him between showing appreciation to the fans for the reception he got but not doing a Torres & pulling any cringe-worthy stunts to make it look like he never wanted to go in the first place. Hence the slightly uncomfortable look. Or maybe he just had trapped wind.

news just in on SSN

"Cesc fabregas went straight home after training and spent 3 hours playing the master league mode on pro evoolution soccer and took arsenal to the champions league final where he controlled only himself in the big match against barca and nutmegged victor valdes in the dying seconds to bring the cup to north london!"

Im sorry but there is no defending the guy.

OUR captain in a Barca shirt with a nice big smile on his face. I dont give a fuck whether it was put on him or not, he didnt exactly fight them off did he.

I don’t understand why so many people want to stick up for a guy who we all know has asked to leave.

Not just the shirt last night, but the entire summer saga has put me off him. Very little loyalty or class shown by our captain.

He’s gone the way of greedybaymoneywhore for me if he stays....i wont cheer him, sing songs about him (not that we have many). If he stays its because he has no other choice.

ARSENAL DONT NEED CESC OR HIS TYPE................SELL HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's smiling, that denotes happiness.

Tbh we never know, and will never know wtf happened this summer. He may still go but I doubt it given Barca's financial problems.

Lets hope he just doesn't kiss the badge, and I'll forgive him

Hleb it more the case of knowing he's going to leave. I really cant get excited by the fact he's going to stay "one more year". That once again next summer we(as in us fans) will be going through the same shit.

It really dissapoints me that our captain has no intentions of fulfilling the long term contract he signed.

There was a post earlier about being hard to please!!! How can anyone be pleased with the cesc situation. Saw the footage of the guys with the please dont go banner...has it really come to that!!! Where fans are basically begging thier club captain not to go.

I stick by my opinion that we should sell him asap. But this doesnt mean I want him to go, id love him to stay his whole career, but thats not going to happen.

I dont know where everyone is getting this 'he's down, or he's sad' - a whole load of websites have just said:

"A smiling Cesc Fabregas lead out his Arsenal team-mates for a special fans' day at the Emirates Stadium today. The Spain midfielder is under pressure to publicly commit to the Gunners after pushing for a summer move to Barcelona." Daily mail
