I think there was so much media hype around Walcott that it raised expectations. Add to that the goals that he set up for Ade at Anfield and Milan and people expected loads. But h ei still only 21, and two serious shoulder injuries meant he could not train or play how he might have.

The next Henry? Unlikely.

But a super fast and very useful player to bring off the bench. Quite probably.

Alternatively

he'll only ever be an impact sub and needs to be offloaded with the savings on his wages being spent more productively

But Almunia, Fabianski, Mannone, LK6, Walcott, Denilson, Nasri, Diaby, Clichy, Sagna, Bendtner, Walcott, Eboue, Vela Fabregas and Chamack have all been given a roasting by you lately.....is there any Arsenal player you do like at all?

I don't care about fucking England, he should be performing week in, week out for the people who pay his extortant and undeserved wages in the first instance...

Good to see the lad get his hat trick today.

Shows that if you play him the right way, play to his obvious strengths rather than his obvious weaknesses, he can be a useful player.
