Mayday Mayday.....NO NEW GK !!!

Mayday Mayday.....NO NEW GK !!!

Post by Bangkokgooner »

According to AW's lastest interview on .com,

"Still players fight for their place," he said. "Tomorrow Fabianski has another opportunity to show that he can play No 1."

Still Almunia or Flappy will be our No.1 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Cesc, you can go next season. I know how you feel. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I just cannot believe he hasn't got in a keeper. Surely he must see all the goals that current clowns were directly at fault for last season? Sure any keeper can drop the occasional clanger but between them these idiots must have been in double figures last season.

I think you're right there, heard Bob Wilson on Talkshite this afternoon and he said AW expects his GK problem to be solved by "what he already has".

Now unless he's got a world class keeper hidden in a cupboard somewhere at the Grove, then our season is ending in August as we won't get anywhere with the 3 stoogees :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Time for Wenger to go. There can be no excuse for not signing a keeper. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The best line in the whole statement is when he say's Flappyhandski has a chance tomorrow to show he can be a no 1......I'm sorry but didn't he screw that chance up already.

Anyone who stood behind the goal at Barnet knows this keeper is going to get no end of stick which will make thing worse give th guy a break Wenger and get us an experienced keeper, FFS do us fans have to beg for a new keeper with the most expensive season tickets in the land ??!!

To be honest, I'd come to terms with the fact that no new 'keeper was arriving long ago.

It's Fabianksi or Almunia. Yet, despite the fact that Flappy has clearly performed much, much worse than Almunia in an Arsenal shirt, I get the feeling that Fabianski WILL be given the nod this season! :?

I can only imagine that Wenger, Pat Rice and Gerry Peyton keep giving him chance after chance because they KNOW he's a quality 'keeper. They probably believe that once he's got some confidence, he'll kick on and become top, top class - and THAT'S why we haven't seen a new 'keeper this season, or the season before.

I know it seems crazy to us, but they must see something in training that convinces them that buying a 'keeper isn't the answer! :?

I just hope Wenger's right :? :? and quickly! because I don't want to see another season go down the toilet because of 'keeping errors :(

Sadly, I can only see this ending in tears  - although, I doubt signing Schwarzer would help either - that guy has been toilet every time I've seen him!
