Praise for Wenger

Praise for Wenger

Post by Nos89 »

Any manager who can persuade a player not to sign for a team that is currently more successful than your own, that is also the team you grew up training with, a club you were a member of since a baby, and the club your friends and family support/play for / live in close proximity to, must have the most awesome influencing skills of any man ever.

The pressure Cesc must have been put under by his peers and family to return home must have been enormous. I doubt any other manager would have been able to keep him at the club. Good work Arsene. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Now where's that new goalkeeper????

It didn't take persuasion, Fabregas is under contract. A big F*ck-off contract.

No one can tell me Fabregas wouldn't rather be with Barca' right now.

I'll give you praise for Wenger..........WHEN...........

He not only holds Fabregas but gets another Centre Back and Spends £15 million on a top notch keeper like the Ruskie or something similar and says :-

"Right we now have the defence. We still have our Captain; and we are determined to fight for 38 games - all of them - to win this title. To hell with the others, we can make this our 14th title and we will " !!!!!!!!

Than I will praise him. Actions not just words !!!!!!!

Wenger can get praise when he signs a decent centre half and a new 'keeper, I am very much part of the Arsene knows brigade but right now I'm worried :(

What would Wenger have done if the offer was 50.000.000 €, which is more like the right price tag for Cesc?
Without a new goalie and CB (with cash available) there is no reason to praise Wenger

Oh dear oh dear  Cesc is under contract for another four years, if the club decides not to sell him then we don't have to. Wenger's spent the whole summer doing precisely, fuck all apart from swanning about at the world cup. The two players we signed were virtually done deals at the end of last season, especially Chamack  Everyone has known for the last two or three seasons that we don't have an adequate goalkeeper and at this late stage I can't see us getting one before the season starts :banghead: so praise him?? kick him up the arse more like it :banghead:

Yep, good post, totally agree with this assessment of Wenger's continued transfer inactivity. :banghead: Who needs a transfer window ? Our fucking window is always shut!!
