The coming midweek sees a round of international friendlies. On the bill is Mexico vs. Spain on Wednesday (yes, in Mexico), and both Fabregas and Vela have been called up.selsdon wrote:What's Cesc in Mexico for?
Big fucking thumbs down to the PL who knew damn well these fixtures would be taking place before the fixtures were announced. But then this is the same organisation that organised a full line-up of PL fixtures on the day of the FA Cup Final.
Incompetent tossers. How hard is it?! There isn't even a tournament next summer. Piss-up + brewery comes to mind.

Which I think time-zone wise translates to Thursday in the UK, meaning they won't arrive back here until after Friday's training session at the earliest, and most probably rules them out of Sunday's game.Bring Back Pires wrote:The coming midweek sees a round of international friendlies. Doubt Cesc would have played at Anfield anyway to be honest. Still a joke for him to be travelling all that way though. Even more so given Reina & Torres are both left out of the Spain squad cos they’re “injuredâ€

As much as I'm pissed off about the lack of signings, I'll be fuckin' buzzing come next Sunday!!! Hope Arshavin can put on a good show as usual
Anyway, I'd be happy with a draw!!! I'm going into the season with hope rather than expectation, we're clearly not title contenders, we've got no ambition whatsoever (whatever players might say in their interviews on .com). But one thing I'm sure of is:

Torres won't start.
No way they are going to risk him after a groin injury. Not unless he is 110% which if reports suggest he isn't.
Kyut may well find himself in the starting eleven. If Cesc is carrying a slight knock/strain how the hell he is not remaining in London and being treated.
Anyone else find it astonishingly stupid by AW?
Arshavin is also doubtful.
It's looking like a high-scoring affair again.

Of course they will win.Connolly55 wrote:I think Liverpool will win, what with the new manager and that and the fact we haven't brought in a keeper.
Who should deter them from scoring 2 or 3?
This will be a long season, lots of silly conceded goals and full of anger against Wenger for not signing a goalie and a CB. I am so desperate!
