Sadly after 5 years of membership I decided not to join this year. Reasons are obvious but mainly the goalkeeping situation.
What on earth do the players feel. Its their chance of success he is wasting.
We are a massive club that is being made to look stupid by a guy who gave us the greatest succeess.
Very weird situation.

the fact is, a lot of us expect too much. I want that pole to fuck off to spurs along with his spanish clown friend of his, but wenger sees these players every day, he is developing them and he genuinely cares about them.
To tell them that he's put them on the transfer list would dent their confidence , and their confidence in him. Wenger can't turn his back on any players he has put faith in because he owes them the support and guidance they deserve from manager. Another reason he doesn't spend on another player is because his young players need to develop . He has worked on the likes of gibbs and wilshere for years. To sign another player would stunt their development . Wenger has made mistakes over the years but I don't want to sound like the drunk in the pub telling everyone how he would do it and that even he is better than Wenger .

Excuse me but I thought Wenger was a football manager/coach, whose task was to try and make the team successful. I didn't realise he was some sort of Social Worker or Step Parent concerned with how they might react to a few home truths being told!!
That is a myth!! Wenger hardly ever 'works' with the youngsters unless they have been promoted to the 1st Team Squad. It's Liam Brady and the Youth coaches at Arsenal that have been working on Gibbs/Wilshere/JET - unless you mean watching the old training session/youth game constitutes that so called special development.Henry Norris 1913 wrote:Another reason he doesn't spend on another player is because his young players need to develop . Wenger spins and lies his way through each season "judge me in May" "We know what ares we need to improve" "Money is available" and the classic "I will only buy if it improves what we have" Jesus christ how could you not improve on the back four, the Goalkeeper, Theo fucking Walcott, competition at holding midfield. The crowd needs to turn against this once great manager who has become a lying PR puppet for a club that don't give a fuck

The lack of ambition from some is uncanny. We might be £30mill worth of players away from being a success again but Arsene and the board are happy to rest on their laurels.
If we can afford to reject a £30mill+ offer for one of our players then surely we are in the position to strengthen the necessary areas without causing ourselves any financial problems which will somehow land us in "the championship"

I dont expect us to be champions every season. But a bit of progression would be nice to see. Putting out a team in an F.A cup game that doesn't get turned over by a very very average Stoke team. A team that looks like it cares and doesn't get thumped against the big teams year after year. We are just a few signings away from challenging. Without a goalie we will struggle to get 4th this season.
you just want fast results

5 years and he hasn't addressed the problems. How long should we give old Arsene bless him, another 5 years? Yeah, in fact, let's have a collection for him, if every Gooner at the Emirates put a fiver in the pot at the first game we could give Denilson another deserved pay rise!!

But once again we go into Premier League season with an unbalanced squad.. We have players galore in offensive positions and a real lack of quality at the back, which showed last season with ridiculous amount of goals conceded but scored more goals than any other team at the half way stage..
Nothing has been done to rectify this, instead we strengthened our attacking options and neglected the defence, Thanks Arsene. Took double posting to a whole new level. Tripple Posting.

Obvious that Wenger is working on a long term project, developing players much more than buying them.
There is sense in that, whilst we pay for the new stadium.
Whilst he personally does not coach the youth teams, there are numerous times that players 16 - 18 train with the first team squad as well as the youth/reserve teams.
I understand why he is going for a longer term plan.
BUT
I cannot agree with the lack of basic defensive organistion, or experience in the squad.
He surely must consider bringing in Keown as defensive coach. He was a proven success when previously employed.
We must buy another experienced centre back, or a defensive midfielder so that Song can be used as centre back.
That is just basic common sense, because the squad is light on numbers.
We cannot start this season with Fabianski in goal. If Wenger feels Szesney is ready then it is a gamble because of his lack of experience, but he clearly is an excellent shot stopper.
My preference would be to buy a decent experienced keeper on a short term deal, so that he can be first choice until Szsesney has more experience.
The above issues are not in the immediate term down to money, they are not down to the board, they are down to Wenger.
