Looks like that *word censored* Fergie is thinking of the future and probably Ozil for little as 15mil add this to Hernandez and Smalling - 3 great players!

Its enough to make you sick! Wenger pull your skinny old finger out and sign a fucking Keeper and a CB

To be fair though, Smalling will probably be behind Ferdinand, Vidic and Evans in the pecking order until he's proved himself.

Koscielny, at the moment, appears to be a first teamer.

Every time i have seen smalling play hes been dreadful, makes far too many mistakes.

Not sure what you see in him. If arsenal had signed him you would of been moaning.

Bacary Sagna believes that Emir Spahic is talented enough to make his mark at Arsenal.

The Bosnia captain is one of a number of centre backs linked with a move to Emirates Stadium but he is also one of the less recognisable names on the rumours list.

Spahic is 29, plays for Montpellier in France and just missed out on this summer's World Cup when his country were beaten in a play-off by Portugal last November.

But Sagna is no stranger to Spahic after watching him in action last season and the Arsenal right back thinks the Bosnian would be an asset if he joined the Gunners.

“I knew him from last year because he played well and scored some good goals," said Sagna.

"I used to follow him in French football last year and he is a good player. He is the captain of the Bosnian national team so he’s a good player.

"Spahic is a good enough player to play for Arsenal and everyone will welcome him if he does come.

"He is a positive man and a good player and we need that. All good players would be welcomed into the team and will settle into the squad because the atmosphere is great here."

Bit weird seeing this, isn't it just as bad as what Barca were doing with Fabregas? Unless it's already a done deal, of course...

Good point!

It must be a done deal - there's no way Arsenal would run that story otherwise.

One important difference - at least we're not claiming he is entitled to come to us because of his genetics!!

I saw his last game on TV; Montpellier has been eliminated of Europa League on penalties. He's scored his penalty. But he was pissed off after the game, he went to see his fans, threw his shirt and it looked like a farewell.
Then he talked on TV in english (he doesn't speak french) to say the strikers aren't good enough and his coach should have reacted quickly in the game.

He doesn't speak French? He's definitely not coming to arsenal then!
