The Official Fantasy Premierleague Online Gooner League

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Official Fantasy Premierleague Online Gooner League

Post by DanielD »

There are two other threads on that subject, but I figured the only way our league is to hit top gear, is if we start a new thread including all the details about the league on the first message.

The game itself is on http://fantasy.premierleague.com, after you register your winning team, you can join different leagues.

On the "Leagues" page (the left of you screen), go to "Create\Join", and in the "Join a private league" textbox enter the following code:

Code: Select all

Anyone with a sp*rs player on his team is a mug.. :barscarf: :barscarf:

I chose Bale and Gomes, but then shipped them out because I didn't want to be a mug! :barscarf:

Whats funny bout that, he played a extra game so got extra 4 points, the extra game was probably the 1 against west ham where he pushed the ball all out from a free kick for them to score

Well, I think the funny part is that the 2 keepers who seem to be competing for no.1 spot are Almunia and Flappy. Yet it appears that, in the league at least, Mannone got more game time and held a better record last season. He played an extra 90 mins and still let in the same amount of goals. That gives him a better games:goals ratio. Plus, Mannone made an average of 3.6 saves a game, whereas Flappy only 2.75. I know these stats may seem minimal, but they all count!

I dont rate any of these three clowns, they have all made mistakes, some more than others. I just found the cold stats slightly amusing.

Mods, can you put this on sticky at least until the League starts so we could have the biggest league possible for the forum?
