Schwarzer joining tomorrow?

Knowing Wenger we'll sign him tommorrow but won't play until he is up to Wengers 'match fitness' in 3 weeks time. Which means we'll have Flappy in goal and will cost us about 9 points.

We were never going to sign a world class goalie but I will be happy with Schwarzer.
Considering the Fulham backline and the number of saves he has to make due to the level of activity at his goal mouth, his concentration levels are far higher than Flapmunia.

Forget about were he was 5yrs ago, Van der Sar went from winning the CL with Ajax to 2nd choice at Juve, then fuckall at Fulham and back winning the CL with Utd.

If the player is good enough then so be it.

It's a sorry state of affairs when we're getting excited about signing Schwarzer. Granted he'll probably be an improvement on what we have but why do I feel that we should be aiming higher than this :?

I used to watch every australia game cause i lived there for 4 years. One thing is for sure, he is certainly clumsy. Another thing is for sure, he can save penalties!. But the strange thing is, even almunia can.

Very similar goalkeepers. But yes this + centre half and we're set for top 4 finish

the fact is we wont aim higher....scwarzer the best the fans can hope for, sadly, and as long as hes an improvement, which i think he is, then it can only be of benefit.

I know, shit! Still iphone keyboard slips and bad grammar are not the same thing. And I could point out that 'cant' isn't a proper word in your original quote, Sammy. But that would be pedantic. Unless you mean Almunia is a right cant.

Can see the headline "Some bread thrown to the great unwashed" being used again if this rumour proves to be true.
