Softmint bombs

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Softmint bombs

Post by MutleyGooner »

Right I need to keep my kids entertained and was thinking of making some softmint bombs. Has anyone tried this and is it as simple as dropping a few softmint sweets into the bottle and waiting for it to happen?
Any tips and advice would be much appreciated 8)

We had a shop here in Enfield called Hawkins Bazaar (I think its a chain). They sold the mentos mints and this little thing you put on the bottle for it to explode. I'm not sure how it works though :?

Tinfoil and toilet cleaner (hydrochloric acid).

Balls of tinfoil, a little bit of HCl, screw the top on a plastic bottle and wait.

What happens? Is it likely to maim?

Well just use toilet bleach not HCl and you normally have about half a minute after you screw the cap on to throw it away... small bang and blue smoke.
If the paper band thingy pops off fling it anywhere.

TBH with your kids I'd not try it but you'd be ayt.
