THE PROJOE TOTALLY POINTLESS TRANSFER RUMOUR THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Right , not getting too excited about it , going to put the whole wonderful
concept of it to bed until 'IT'S A GIVEN '  :)
Sorry folks , last minute goals lead me to prolonged giddy euphoria and especially shitty football entendres/The Sun Headliners

I reckon its far more likely that Citeh loan Given to Fulham then sell to us so they can recall him if Hart gets a knock? Also, they wont be directly strenghtening a top 4 challenger so its win win. For the same reason I cant see Bellamy going to the scum.

LOL just found this on man city forum...

http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/forum/vi ... 1&t=186198

I especially like this comment..

"Where d'you get this from? And if it's true it utterly insane. They'll win the league with a good goalkeeper.."

Tbh I think Mancini and all of City respect Given an awful lot, if he asks them to join Arsenal I can see them agreeing if we put a good offer in. Bellamy has slagged the club off etc and City willm be unwilling to let him dictate where he goes.

I could be wrong but it seems the clubs have a good off pitch relationship in terms of transfer dealings, so you never know. (lets hope they still woe us money or something)

Wow they do stay up late that lot (2:30am!) :goingtobed:

Still it hasn't been proven by both forums. We're all going on about it from a 'tweet' which claims something that W. Barton supposedly said.

Great news if so but if the J.Cole saga as taught me anything I'll wait on this.

Barton is a gooner, being born in Islington and played with Given at Newcastle. The assumption is that he's had a text off Shay and let it slip on live TV.

This is off twitter, twitter page is called bpfootball.

Im trying to find Barton's quotes atm.
Mate , If this is True I bow to your footballing gossip prowess . You'll send me to slumber dreaming of clean sheets (i.e non conceding goals sense  )of someone who has the authority in the box and the respect of his
fellow professionals .
However..................If it's another 'Joe Cole-ism" ......
I want this to be true as much as you buddy. Im just passing on information. It was on Fox Soccer Channel.

this'll be the same fox that is so well known for being balanced and fair in the political news sphere? Hmmmm

No, Bellamy wont be going the scum. He's been banned from the club training ground and he's close to moving to Cardiff.

I really hope you are right, and also that he does want to come to us. however, as I have stated in previous posts I can only see him leaving on loan AND with a clause that allows City to take him back in case of injury to Hart. Sadly, whilst this would still be better than no new keeper/Schwarzer imo, I really dont see City giving him to us. That would just be a really bad decision by them and if it were the other way round i'd be furious.

Plus, they still owe us a kick in the knackers for selling them Ade-the-whore.
