BLACKPOOL GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

my prediction:
3-1
Isn't Kos going to be suspended?
oh, yes, sure, I forgot. Johan "Mango Butter" Djourou will replace him I guess.
.... and if he's not fit by Saturday, which given his previous track record is quite feasible.... by who then.....???? :? :? Stevie Bould.... :? :?
As previously mentioned on the first page and the player Wenger has referred to this summer as "we have other players that can 'fill in' " is: Song.
or maybe Nordtveit

Really is dire when (no offence to these players) we are scraping around for game 2.

It really is a shambles, Wenger has had not only this current transfer window, but previous ones, to address all these areas and issues, and now we're down to just one centre back for the forthcoming game.

To be in this mess at this stage of the season, for a club of our size, is just bewildering.

Isn't Song pretty much a natural CB anyway? Merson was banging on about him not being able to play 15 games there, but he's played there loads for us and Cameroon and always played well.

Wenger still has time to fix things .
If anything, Kos going Missing early season should act as a further Alarm Bell for Management . Considering our recent CB defections and the statistical high injury list we've accumulated in the last few years , it seems the powers that be don't acknowledge it will be competitive suicide getting to the Transfer Window without reinforcing the Middle of the defence . Have none of the defensive coaches no input or have they tried to emphasise the lack of genuine centre back Quality in the squad ?
As we all know , the Title can be Won and Lost by Christmas , no use scrabbling around in the later window trying to fix problems that should have been fixed a year ago .

He's got to bring in a new CB before this, the threat of a long-term injury to Kos yesterday must have opened his eyes as to how thin we are at CB.

Thinking 4-2 on Saturday. Cesc and RvP to start and we'll play a little more "fluidly" than yesterday. They'll score as the way that they broke at Wigan is exactly the way that'll open us up!

im predicting a win but not as comfortable as we all believe it should be, kinda like Burnley at home last season, 3-1, getting the 3rd late to keep our hearts pumping overtime until the 92nd minute :banghead:

I think it's going to be a game of two halves

Should be a comfortable enough win, provided we take our chances, as I reckon Blackpool will score a couple of goals. 4-2 to the arse.

We start with a point in this game and it's our job to defend that point and go forward to claim all 3!

3-0 Arsenal. This should be a breeze.
