WHO WOULD YOU RATHER SEE IN GOAL IF SCHWARZER DOESNT JOIN?
Just in case we don't sign Schwarzer, who is your first choice between the sticks for Arsenal?

In fairness Robson makes some good points in this article, if you read all of what he says.
Specifically the point that we don't do enough defensively - as a team - regardless of who the keeper is.
And he compares us to Barca in that respect and in respect of our otherwise similar styles of play.
Under GG and in the early Wenger years we were much more cohesive defensively and we knew how to deal with set pieces. Both defending them and attacking. Now we don't !![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

It’s a fair point he makes about Barcelona - albeit an obvious one. By all accounts Guardiola doesn’t totally neglect the art of defending at all. First thing he did when he took over was to work on implementing a high-pressure pressing game - apparently he told Messi it was all well & good being the best with the ball, but he had to be the best without it too. He gave a lecture at a coaching conference (that Wenger attended - although presumably he was too busy fingering Eboue in the back row to pay attention) on Recovering Possession. They work on defending set-pieces. Until they sold Yaya this summer they had 3 quality defensive midfielders etc.Rob wrote:http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 16,00.html

Wenger clearly attempted to model our style & formation last season on Barca's - but unsurprisingly he took the bits that he liked (attacking wise) & forgot about all the 'boring' bits that actually gave Barcelona the platform to make the system work in the first place.
Back to the keepers... I cant choose. It's like a choice between having your balls massaged with a cheesegrater or a handjob from Edward Scissorhands.
Anyone sense a new poll is on its way...?Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:It’s a fair point he makes about Barcelona - albeit an obvious one.
