EVERTON THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This was a great result. I have been anti 4-5-1 latley, but when I saw the team sheet and then the start of the match I must admit I was hankering for the 4-5-1 a bit, I always thought this would be a tough old game and I understand, what with the do-as-you-likey's visiting saturday, we needed to rotate the squad but I thought AW would have seen this game as tougher than Pompey away, so was completely shocked to see us line up 4-4-2 and number 25 on the bench. But when it comes to AFC it's great to be proved wrong, and I do hate them Evertonians something bad so victory does indeed taste sweet tonight :P :P :P

Had to make do with sky sports score centre and this thread..logged off just at half time came back when we were 2-1 up and couldnt contain my joy when i read eddy scored twice..ive high expectations for this guy..give him 4-4-2 week in week out in the prem and he will return double figures easily..

But great result..from the highlights i saw we didnt play well at all and the score line flatters us..but who cares??

Were top..2 points clear at the end of 07,if u offered me that back in the summer...id have bitten ur hand off..many others would have too im guessin

We've humiliated Everton numerous times over the last five years or so,
and believe me, they 'aint forgot.

and we did it again today :D

Sorry Wayno but at the risk of loads of verbals I agree with him. but we took our chances where last season we would have wasted them. All hale the purple one. :D
If every team we play is better than us, like Everton were according to Moyes and we win each match 4-1, then roll on May 8)

I do understand Moyes frustration but apart from their goal and Yakubu's header wide, what gives him the belief that they were better :?: Scoring goals wins matches, not possession. The facts are we scored 4 and they didn't 8)

Yes we were helped by them being shit in defence and Eddy & Ade being good in front of goal, thats doesn't make Everton the better team does it :?

Great result. Knowing Manure lost too makes it even better.

4-4-2 eh? Well...Eduardo seems to be a fan of it at least. And Rosicky and Ade were both able to come off the bench to bag goals.

Not bad for the team that wasn't the "better" one.

Its actually swamp water from the deepest, darkest places of Middle Earth.

Alternatively, you can just spend a lot of time in Shite Hart Lane.
