They got him for around £6-7 million I think, so tbh I think £8-9 would do it but knowing how we like to bid, our opening offer will £3 mill and one of Pat Rice's old training kits.

There's a rumour that I seen from a mate that Shay Given would be out of contract in 3 weeks.

He's wrong but....
What I think he mean is a 'pre-contact'.

IF Given had a 2 year deal and seeing (wanted to use the word 'given' there!) that he'd signed for Citeh at the end of the January transfer window in Feb 09. Same year that it was extended for AA23.
This would mean that Shay Given would be free to talk and sign a possible pre-contract for Feb 2011!? :shock:

Can anyone shed any light if this is true?

I've found out! It's bollox. Signed a 5 year deal.

Bellamy has joined Cardiff because City didnt want a rival to snap him up and do them damage...... Now you think they will sell us Given???? Wake up Gooners, Wenger missed the boat 18 months ago with Given... Schwarzer is the best we will get and im not holding my breath for that one either.

Yes, but it's Caught offside.

The bound to be another report somewhere saying Givens extended he's contract, plus one stating we've bought Schwarzer and then the weekly ridiculas one like Wengers looking at some well known creative midfield player for over £20+!

Selsy mate - coffside are a load of tossers - percy has something to do with em - every rumour they have put forward this transfer window has been all bollocks.....not one of em - arsenal or otherwise has come true....
