TWOY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

TWOY

Post by alanalansunderland »

Although not abandoned totally just yet a little bird tells me that TWOY will be moved on Saturday to a less prevalent place in the pre-match build up, and the boys will now enter the pitch to a piece of music that get us all remembering the good old days at Highbury :barscarf:

Good news, although I'd prefer of TWOY was completely abandoned. It has no relevance to the club.

What did Right Here, Right Now or Simply the Best have to do with us ?

We used to come out to them in the early mid 90s and 2000s, I remember that being a buzz. Not sure what relevance they had. Was there any link (one I may not be aware of).

Fair point, but at least it was an upbeat song... the words "right here, right now" were fairly apt as we seemed to be breaking some kind of record on an almost weekly basis then. It was also in the charts around the time it was played at Highbury - not randomly plucked from the bargain bin in HMV.

Someone posted this up last season and he was dead right, play this blasting out of the speakers and have the video of the great moments on the big screens at the grove and try make it a bit intimidating for away teams to play at our ground.Nothing else should be considered!

I think they tried to get a song people could sing, an anthem. The fact is that a lot of people simply don't like it because it's Elvis. But then you can't please everyone. Personally I like it.

That said and as I've said before I think Good Old Arsenal is the way forward (although I could go with the A-Team  )

absolutely feckin love this!!!!

as well as getting everyone up for making some noise and remembering just how great we are(were  ) it will give those visiting twats from manure, sperz etc a reminder of how we can destroy them at any given time

also, there was a chant at anfield that lingered on for ages and simply went yyyeeelllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww with everyone joining in at diff times thus prolonging it.sounded good and would fit perfectly into the tune of this song.so we could have the screen and music for home games and take it acapella on the road when in yellow!!

so glad to see back of twoy, dispise it but wish someone had the balls to make the warchant a possability
