The dust hasn't yet settled on Giggs to do an appreciation thread. Having said that, our club has desperately missed experienced proven winners in the squad to pass on the winning mentality and keep potentially good youngsters grounded. We exported our achievers far too quickly.
A couple of years ago Sky and their media buddies decided to do a Giggs love-in which unjustifiably turned the Player of the Year award into a lifetime achievement award for the Welsh werewolf.
I get a feeling the media machine are about to go into overdrive about Paul Scholes. They must have decided it is his season; shame we are only one game in. Everything the lad does this year will be exxagerated and the plaudits will be completely over the top.
somebody delete this thread. .. who cares if he's scored a goal in every season don't make him fcuking genius. a minimum of 1 goal per 40 odd games is all thats required, hardly hard at a team like united, esp when some of them will be penalties, i seem to recall one being the case last season to ensure he actually got this record.
