Flight Options

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

One thing Im NOT is a COWBOY..... i HAVE BEEN TAKING GOONERS ABROAD FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND PROBABLY DID WHEN YOU WERE STILL WEARING NAPPIES.

SPORTOPTIONS.COM / THE aLEX PUB, SPORTOPTIONS ARE ALL OWNED BY ME...IAM STILL TRADING AND NORMALLY I LET OTHERS SAY WHATEVER ON WEBSITES BUT OBVIOUSLY YOU DESERVE A RESPONSE.

SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU SHOULD BE A FULHAM FAN MATE !!! PUT IT THIS WAY MY SON ( WHO IS PROBABLY OLDER THAN YOU ) SUPPORTS THE SAME TEAM AS HIS DAD AND HE KNOWS I WOULD NOT LET HIM IN MY FRONT ROOM IF HE SUPPORTED ANYONE ELSE.

WE GIVE A 100% HONEST SERVICE AND WHETHER YOU TRAVEL WITH ME OR NOT YOU CAN THANK ME FOR HELPING TO PUSH PRICES DOWN ON SO CALLED OFFICIAL TRIPS.

NOW ON TO FULHAM IN HAMBURG..... I HAD 10 FLIGHTS ....EVERY FLIGHT LEFT GATWICK WITHIN HALF AN HOUR OF SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME....FOR THE RETURN EVERYONE WAS WARNED IN WRITING THAT THERE WOULD BE DELAYS .... APPROX 20,000 SPANISH AND ENGLISH ARRIVING AT A MEDIUM SIZED AIRPORT STRAIGHT AFTER THE MATCH DOES CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR THE AIRPORT AUTHORITIES.

WE WARNED EVERYONE THAT THERE WOULD BE DELAYS AND SAID BESTWAYS FLIGHTS WOULD ARRIVE BACK AT GATWICK BETWEEN 2 AM AND 5AM...... 9 FLIGHTS ARRIVED BACK BEFORE 5AM AND 1 FLIGHT ARRIVED AT 5.25AM . THE SO CALLED "OFFICIAL " TRAVEL PARTNER OF FULHAM ( WHO I THINK ARE THE NEW PARTNER OF ARSENAL ) HAD A NIGHTMARE, LATE ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES ....

THEY ALSO CHARGED A HIGHER PRICE THAN SPORT OPTIONS.
IM A GOONER THROUGH AND THROUGH AND WORK MY BALLS OFF TO KEEP MY CLIENTS HAPPY....

THE ALEX PUB BECAME LEGEND ....YOU MISSED OUT ON SOME GOOD TIMES. I WILL BE IN THE GEORGE AND THE TWO BREWERS BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME TOMORROW.

SO NORTHBANKBREN..... I HOPE I JUST SPOILT YOUR DAY. ITS NOT NICE TO DANCE ON PEOPLES GRAVES AND ITS BANG OUT OF ORDER WHEN THEY ARE STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE AND KICKING.
E . i . E .......

ps i was in the airport at Hamburg and do seem to remember having to be restrained from some idiot who had a problem having to queue up....there were thousands of people and he seemed to think he could just jump to the front...i was there ALL the time. SORRY SO MUCH OF THIS IS IN CAPITALS , BUT IM SHOUTING !
Sorry but your account of Hamburg is rubbish!!!!!! Here’s a few FACTS for you:

Your company charged for flights and transfers. You didn’t mention while booking the transfers were FREE fucking public transport.....Which was paid for by the city themselves....but you charged for your “transfersâ€

Oh and why do I support Arsenal?

Because my mum bred it into us....her brother bred it into her.

Can I ask a question....why did you company provide such a poor service at Hamburg?

Oh and why would you come on a forum announce your self as owner of the company and then post trying to come across as some hard nut football factory wannabe?

It not a good look, and not a very proffesional one either......but hey thats you and your company isnt it.

Used flight options many times, never had any problems. Always run Professionally. They were always helpful to everyone that i have seen on arsenal trips abroad. They always seem to get there flights away before the travel club aswell.

Thumbs up from me. :barscarf:

I think if they had won gnuey it wouldnt have felt so bad.

But yep they both said they had a great day which was really let down on the journey home. If they were younger i reckon it wouldnt have been so bad (not that thats an excuse for the poor service), but two old fella's neither in the best of health were really treated disgracefully.

Sounds about right. You're a proper pratt aren't you.. I've travelled with Flight Options several times. Never ever had a problem. If you put 20,000 fans into a small airport, late at night, what do you expect? What were Flight Options supposed to have provided?

From what I've seen of you on this site, you're a c@nt of the highest order. Remember when you were 'running for moderator'... :awnker:

I'd keep your mouth shut in future, if you know what's good for you. And if you want to see me face to face, I'll be in the Rocket before every home game this season..

:-P What a big cyber warrior you are. Over 2000 posts.... Well, you must have a full and varied social life. I don't mind being called a c u n t. When it comes from someone as sad as you, it's actually quite amusing. I'll answer your question about Flight Options whilst I'm here.

Flight Options have done nothing wrong here. Whether you know that 20,000 people are going to use an airport at the same time, or not, there's nothing you can do to deal with it. An airport can only deal with a certain number of people at one time. It just takes time to process people. Flight Options were at the mercy of the Hamburg airport staff. The reason they didn't know what was going on was because they probably hadn't been told themselves. I saw it at Barcelona last season. I also saw Flight Options staff offering check-in staff 'incentives' to speed the queues up. I'm not sure why you think that your dad was singled out. He wasn't. Everyone would have had to queue together. If he's that frail, why was he travelling? Why was he on a 1 day package? It doesn't take a genius to work out that there would be delays with 20,000 + passengers using a regional airport. How naieve could you be? What did you want Flight Options to do? They don't run the airport. You sound like the type that calls Injurylawyersforyou.com on a daily basis. You say that the rep went missing. He was probably trying to find out what was going on, and was probably way-layed by hundreds of other Fulham fans looking for info.

Anyway, this is boring. I'm off to practice my Danny Dyer impression (you seem to be obsessed with calling everyone Danny Dyer).

Before moaning about being called a *word censored* read your own posts!!!!!!! ....you *word censored*.

What I expect is for the rep to be available with information at least.

They done a dissapearing act.

If they had fronted and told my old man they didnt have a clue, he would have been satisfied, but after about an hour they werent there to do that!!!!!!!! And they were there over 6 hours!!!! Dont tell me that no sight of a rep in a situation like this isnt a piss take.

Hamburg airport from what i understand couldnt cope with the traffic and yes fucked up.....BUT.....it the reps job to provide this information to their customers.....they werent there....they knew there were going to be a lot of angry customers and they got out of there.

You may know them, and have had good experiances, but as i posted earlier, this was the one experiance anyone I know personally has had with sports options....and trust me they wont be getting recommendations, and for it to be my oap father and uncle I think being a bit pissed off is understandable....dont you?

just busy, facts are everyone went on time to Hamburg and everyone got back by 530 am on the sportoptions flights. As everyone knows this is good going for a final . At worst they had a two or three hour delay but everyone was told that there would be hold ups. they got there and got back...
no need to be aggressive mate... im always around to talk to people. ... theres bigger problems in the world, people starvin and tottenham winning so you had your say, lets leave it at that.
My rep is 100% at Arsenal , I was one of the organisers of the BEARS Funeral etc.
Meanwhile sportoptions carry on as we have for 20 years.
Thanks truly to so many people for your support.

Sport Options

Post by Gilles Grimandi »

Right, I don't want to get into argument regarding the Fulham final but felt I should post with regards my own trips with Sport Options.

I have travelled with SportOps many times in the past, including places like Moscow & Kiev. Never with any problems. There are a few thing I would like to share on this board that spring to mind.

AIK Solna, Champs League 1999. I was booked with SOptions for this trip to Stockholm, as things panned out this was the last group game and turned out to be a dead rubber. Due to this fact there were not enough people to fill a plane. Flight Options advised me of this but said they would book me onto the BA flight and into a hotel at no extra cost, I would just have to find my own transfers. This actually cost SOptions money but due to the fact I had booked in good faith they would not renege on the deal. Now I ask you, even to this day, Arsenal (and their official travel partners Thomas Cook) would NEVER do this! If you read the small print on their trips it always states that trips will only run if 'sufficient numbers' are met. What a joke, you could find yourself cancelled on at the last minute because the travel club simply couldn't fill a plane!

Secondly, Only twice in all my European trips have I not been able to source a ticket from the Club or alternative sources in the UK. Both times (Barcelona & Villareal, 1999 & 2006) Flight Options have come up trumps for me when asked. Maybe not through 'official' channels but what the hell, I was in. Again ask yourself this question of the travel club.

Lastly,
I'm sure lots of you younger generation won't remember, but when English teams were allowed back into European competition early 90's things were very difficult with regards to travel. Believe me, official travel was an absolute nightmare. Sport Options (and others) offered alternative travel and as the poster above stated, helped drive down the cost of such trips. Also giving the 'officials' and the authorities something to think about and not have a monopoly. They also provided travel when the club simply couldn't be bothered or was not cost effective, Donetsk springs to mind.

So I for one will still be with Sport Options again this year and long may it continue.

GG
