Or..... Wenger at the end of his contract 2014 still no trophies since 2005. He cries and hugs Denilson as he says his tearful goodbye.
the two (mourinho and wenger) are managers with completely different goals, mate. i agree that mourinho is probably the best manager in the world right now, i just don't think he is the god that everyone else says he is.
in the short short term, the guy is incredible. not sure how much he helps the clubs' futures, though. look at porto.
At the end of the day there are those on here who won't accept any criticism of Wnger or the club, from anyone including former Arsenal players.
Which is why we see JCLS slagging off greats such as Wrighty, Merse and Smudger because they have dared question what is going on at the club.
So what chance does Mourinho have of being given any scope to criticise the wonderful Mr Wenger.
I would take mourinho as our manager tomorrow, but then I would take anyone in order to see the back of Wenger.

So if Jose's goals are to win and to be best...what are Arsene's (tottaly opposite) goals?brazilianGOONER wrote:the greatest thing about football is that it enables you to compare oranges with UFOs.mikeyb772001 wrote:Yeh but he left Inter as the Champions of Europe. to lose and bring sadness and anger to our fans. isn't that obvious?skipper wrote:So if Jose's goals are to win and to be best...what are Arsene's (tottaly opposite) goals?brazilianGOONER wrote:the greatest thing about football is that it enables you to compare oranges with UFOs.mikeyb772001 wrote:Yeh but he left Inter as the Champions of Europe. No need for sarcasm...you mentioned two tottaly different goals, so what are those?brazilianGOONER wrote:to lose and bring sadness and anger to our fans. isn't that obvious?skipper wrote:So if Jose's goals are to win and to be best...what are Arsene's (tottaly opposite) goals?brazilianGOONER wrote:the greatest thing about football is that it enables you to compare oranges with UFOs.mikeyb772001 wrote:Yeh but he left Inter as the Champions of Europe. lets see if you can spot which manager is which, i'm sure you'll realise it's two different goals:skipper wrote:No need for sarcasm...you mentioned two tottaly different goals, so what are those?brazilianGOONER wrote:to lose and bring sadness and anger to our fans. isn't that obvious?skipper wrote:So if Jose's goals are to win and to be best...what are Arsene's (tottaly opposite) goals?brazilianGOONER wrote:the greatest thing about football is that it enables you to compare oranges with UFOs.mikeyb772001 wrote: Yeh but he left Inter as the Champions of Europe. 1. building a team that wins everything until i leave the club, and then i don't care what happens. that means most of the players will be experienced, leaving an ageing (winner, though) team behind. i will not spend a penny on improving the clubs' infrastructure or youth system nor i care about how the club will be financially after i leave. i necessarily need cash. however, i WILL win almost everything, which won't ensure that two years later the team won't become a big nothing again.
2. building for the future, with or without cash, improving the status of the club in europe, assuring that the club is self sustainable. titles not the most important thing, which will anger and bore the fans for a while, but truly i don't care as long as i think it's the right path for the future. if i have to build a stadium and not be competitive for the title for 10 years, so be it, as long as we don't lose our "big european club" status.

The same as the scottish league? come off it, at the very least they are the 5th best league and have exported many great players for shitloads of money.flash gunner wrote:He also won the European Cup with Porto. Porto a team from a league with the same stature as the Scottish league and with no major spending then either...Really shit managermarcengels wrote:what the fuck about the eto deal mate. He got world class striker, offloaded inconsistent ibrahimovic, and pocketed around 45m euros. he also got Sneijder as cut price cast off from Real madrid.GunnerDude wrote:People forget he spend a decent amount in Porto and thats all he does, SPEND!.
He can go fuck himself, he will never be great in my eyes until he commits to a club and builds a team. He would probably have a nose bleed if he has 2-3 players under 24 in his starting line-up.
Fucking shit management eh?
Have a look at the number of changes Porto went through between F.Santos and Jose's reign, no less than 13 and he went on to sign more in his 2nd year.

As for Inter and the Ibrah deal, how you gather he was inconsistent is beyond me, top 5 goal scorer in his last 2 seasons at Serie A, Inter's highest goal scorer in his 3yrs there, Serie A top scorer in the 08/09 season.
Ibrah 88games 57goals and you call that inconsistent, someone Jose said he dint want to sell but the deal was too good to turn down. Ibrah was always going for big money but Barca dint value Eto and Real dint value Sneijder either.
It doesnt take a brainiac to know when those type of deals are on the table you take them.
Until he stays loyal to a team for 10yrs and builds it while remaining successful to a degree then he stays a mercenary in my eyes.
How many young players has he brought through in his time as manager of any side? Just look how he managed two bright prospects in Balotelli and Diarra.

Credit can't judge on him on developing teams because he fucks off too quickly - but then you're giving Wenger credit for remaining "successful to a degree" - what, top wage bill and getting in the top 4 while winning no trophies. accprding to the wage bill, he is on par just about.GunnerDude wrote:The same as the scottish league? come off it, at the very least they are the 5th best league and have exported many great players for shitloads of money.flash gunner wrote:He also won the European Cup with Porto. We didn't go for Sneijder if it's such a no-brainer - kind of guy we need/needed. And Mourinho got notoriously temperemental Eto to play left wing attack all season, for the team benefit.
I know you don't want to give him any credit for these deals but he did them, and with the net cash from the Ibrahimovich deal, he likely hardly had any net spening at all.
Fair play on Ibrahimovic stats, but makes it a gamble to get rid of such a star performer - and he won the treble!

The first one sounds like a proper football manager, second one like someone employed by a masonic lodge.brazilianGOONER wrote:lets see if you can spot which manager is which, i'm sure you'll realise it's two different goals:skipper wrote:No need for sarcasm...you mentioned two tottaly different goals, so what are those?brazilianGOONER wrote:to lose and bring sadness and anger to our fans. isn't that obvious?skipper wrote:So if Jose's goals are to win and to be best...what are Arsene's (tottaly opposite) goals?brazilianGOONER wrote: the greatest thing about football is that it enables you to compare oranges with UFOs.
