Arsenal related pressies.

Got the fantastic Arsenal: Extraordinary Pictures of an Amazing Club. Some excellent pics that I would post on here if I had a fully functioning scanner attached to the computer.

For my old man I got the Arsenal miscellany, a small little book with such gems as the letter to Season ticket holders in 1939/40 notifying them that all matches this season has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (no shit!). Some good facts in their too, did you know that we are the only club to have won a trophy on every day of the week?

Mon - League 1971
Tues - Fairs Cup 1970
Wed - European Cup Winners Cup, league 2002
Thurs - FA Cup 1993
Fri - League 1953 and 1989
Sat - Various cups and leagues
Sun - League Cup 1987 and 1993.

Here's one for the Pro England - Anti Arsenal brigade: Of all the players who have taken penalties for England in shoot outs Arsenal have the only 100% record in that all of our players have scored there's - even past and present players such as Platt in 1990 and Merse in 1998 scored there's. Not forgetting that the only one we won was because of Arsenal's goalkeeper ha ha ha ha!!!!

Dad also got the Perry Groves World book - I looked at it briefly and saw stories such as racing with Tony Adams on the M25 at 3AM and being caught coming out of a brothel by paparazzi. Also funny story of his altercation with a fat Colchester fan who called him a useless ginger tosser, to which he replied 'pies are being sold over there, save some for the rest of us' to howls of laughter, leading to the fan complaining to Colchester and Perry having to meet him in the Colchester offices where he expected an apology off of Perry which wasn't forthcoming - have to get hold of that for future reading.

Yeah i got the Arsenal miscellany too, its full of great little facts, especially a couple of gems about Wenger, like.. he has to have the temperature on the coach set to and exact temp too keep the players muscles warm.
I also got some Arsenal sweeties!!

I got the one thing I insist on every year. Failure to buy this for me would result in divorce (even though it is my sister-in-law that buys it).

Iwas a very lucky lad and got a signed framed picture of Gallas and also one of Bobby Pires!

They are going on display in my new found boys toys games room with the Wii I have on the way too!
