It tells me RVP never played it regularly for any period of time! Can honestly say it was the only time I've ever actually been proper scared whilst playing football.

Or maybe that's why he is now fucked... playing the cage for years has knackered him... :( :?

Despite RvP not being likely to ever complete a whole season without injury, I do think we shoukd keep him till the end of his contract. Nobody is going to pay top money for him, and he will never command to wages, but when he does play he can be very influential. Yes, we should move away from relying on him as first choice, but as a 2nd-3rd choice striker, he will be better than anyone else we could ever hope to get.

Inclined to agree but then I think what we could do with his wages... maybe pay a striker to play a whole season... or if the board have their way build another flat. :(

I seriously rate RvP as a player and he is by far one if the only remaining Mr Arsenal players we have left , (in my opinion)... such a shame this always happens.

Arsène Wenger has received some mixed injury news as he prepares his team to face Bolton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

On the plus side, Samir Nasri is ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery.

The Frenchman sustained a meniscal injury against Liverpool on the opening day of the season and was expected to be sidelined for a month. But Nasri will return to full training in the next few days.

However, Robin van Persie will have to wait a little longer before he is back in the first-team frame.

The Dutchman injured his ankle against Blackburn Rovers on August 28 and will be sidelined for longer than first anticipated. Van Persie is likely to be out of action until mid-October.

Look out for a full injury update from Arsène Wenger on Arsenal.com this Thursday.

Copying my post here in case the other thread gets locked I'm so fucking angry.!
Surprise surprise mr dependable injured again, the guy is a walking or rather a hobbling fucking disaster.
He should have been offloaded 3 seasons ago when it was obvious to everyone that he was the most injury prone palyer in the fucking league.
Yet again another example on Wenger's short sightedness.
And we all know there is more chance of seeing Father fucking Christmas in his fucking grotto before we see this guy in an Arsenal shirt again.
Wenger your dereliction of duty over the past 5 seasons has been nothing short of disgraceful so please just FUCK OFF YOU SENILE OLD STUBBORN BASTARD :banghead: :banghead:
