A Fucked up story.

A cousin of mine was driving from Tipperary to Dublin over in Ireland. About 20 mins into the journey he saw a hitchhiker (anyone who has been or lived in eire will know this is the norm) who he picked up.

It was a man no older than 50 who looked as if he was a painter and decorator, he was holding a bag (the reason this took my cousins attention was the fact that, he held it close to him at all times against his chest, as if he was hugging it). Where are you from my cousin asked, nothing. Where are you heading to? Just a couple of miles up the road was the response. The whole time this fella held this bag close to his chest which came across really dodgy, After about 50km my cousin was getting a bit sus and asked where was it you were heading to? A few km up the road he said.

After about 50 more km of my cousin asking him questions and getting no real response and this fella holding on to the bag as if it was his life depended on it, he pulled in to get some petrol. He was at the counter, paid for his petrol and as he walked out was met by the hitchhiker at the door, Im just getting some fags Iâ€™ll be a one sec. My cousin got into the car thought about it for one second and thought, fuck it, and drove off.

About 10 mins into his journey he looked down to his left and what did he see, the blokes bag

(Unless this is an urban myth type story that did not happen to your cousin?)

BTW, I thought that the hitchiker was going to be a ghost.

I heard the story almost twenty years ago when I was in the terratorials. We were driving over to somewehere or other and this lad was harping on to me in the back of the truck; trying to break the ice with a story about a hitchhiker and a bag.

I might have been a bit rude and ignored him so I fluffed my line and didn't ask him what was in the bag. I just didn't give a shit

P.S. You did tell the story a bit wrong
