Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross has hit out at claims by Arsene Wenger that he and Robert Huth are guilty of deliberate fouls.

To be fair, he is only guilty of breaking 2 players legs. The twat.

He's got a point though. Wenger had no business calling names out when criticizing Stoke's approach, especially when it's not even against his team.

I just think this whole animosity towards Stoke is doing us no favors at all. We are building up some sort of unneeded rivalry with them which is making our games against them much tougher than they should be. It will be no different this season as well, their neanderthal fans absolutely despise us and will be up for our match like no other.

The English media works both ways and when it comes to one of their own against Johnny Foreigner we stand no chance.

People also forget the dirty bastard's performance from the previous season although in hindsight anyone dragging their studs down Adebayor's heel may not be a bad lad after all

Wenger made these comments, because the ref at the Sp*rs match and in our match was the same one (Phil dowd?). Wenger knew Blackburn will try some nasty things at Al, and he did whatever he could to protect him. His comments were correct in my opinion, stoke use dirty tricks and show no class in every match I see them play.

I think this animosity is just the thing we need in order to get protection from the refs in the league. I don't think Stoke will "get in our faces" as they did in previous seasons after the events of last season's game and if they do try it, than they would be stopped by the ref.

when Red Nose screams away nobody says a word, but then again he's British so it's allowed.

Sometimes Wenger says strange stuff but alot of British managers say things, Like red nose talking about, I believe Phil Dowd, his weight and perceived lack of fitness. What a rediculous thing to say but he gets away with it.

it's frustrating b/c the media does a hatchet job on Wenger and the Arsenal, to me it's very obvious.
