This thread seems to be going downhill fast.
I'll give it a push then........
I've been living in SA all my life and as mentioned earlier in this thread, you get knobs from all different countries. It is actually not bad living here and
most of the WSA's that you find living in other countries would be the "racist" lot. They were the first to jump ship as they didn't "feel safe" with a black government, but are the first to moan when it comes to voting as they feel they still have a right to vote for who should be president.
I really hate politics and it took me a while (well most of the day) to resist the urge to post any type of response on this thread, but I really get annoyed at people bad-mouthing SA. SA and it's people has come a long way in trying to repair the wrongs that the previous government has brainwashed its people into. You still get the white folk who think they better than anyone else(even other whites) and then you get the blacks who just feel that after decades of suffering, they are somehow entitled to just sit on their butts and receive everything on a plate.
Having both indian and irish ancestory, I was classified as "coloured" all my life and remember the apartheid years well. Not allowed into clubs, cinemas, shops they even had seperate bus-stops ffs. White police would patrol your neighbourhood at night just to beat you up. But now to be fair, most of my friends are white. I have no problem with that. It takes a lot to wipe those bad memories away, but maybe, like me, we should all look at our glass as being half full.
Fuck yeah.....my rants over.
Anyways, I find that most afrikaaner(Dutch) WSAs are really abrupt, but they seem to be that way because they don't speak english well and just say what they need to say in as little words as possible. I know this rant won't go down well on this forum, but I must say, I find the whites from an english background more racist than the afrikaaner whites.
Another point, if I had to start a thread like this, I would have had a really bad impression of Irish, Scottish and Aussies too. The few that I know personally are knobs.
PS: I retyped this message about three times, because I didn't want to upset anyone.
