It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I don't care if the fucker never kicks a ball again! there I said it! and I mean it! When I heard about it last night I gave a wry smile, and any gooner who is honest with themselves will have had similar feelings. I admit there are other I would have preferred to get injured, but they didn't so tough.
I don't believe anyone coming on here and taking the moral highground. So there !
Fekin funny. To be honest i was quite happy it happend as it only ever seems to be our players that suffer such nasty injurys.
Saying that he will probably be back in 4 months as they will send him to a world class doctor. We all know that all our injured players get sent to wengers house to live so he can give them calpol and let them watch high school musical. Hence why it takes so fekin long to come back from a bruised shin.

I was being honest, if that makes me a sick c**t then so be it. It's easier to post on here and say how concerned you are, and thus make yourself appear to be the humane person you would like others to perceive you as.
I wonder had it been Rooney, Terry or Lampard who had suffered the injury would we have had the same outpouring of sypmathy. Or indeed Ade or Cole.
So wind your necks in, you bunch of fucking hypocrites.

Erm, no...but then some people did say that he doesn't appear to be such a *word censored*.

There is an area between concern and being a "sick *word censored*" (not my words). Part of that would be silence (Edit: I should clarify I mean that it's not a choice between slagging someone off or showing sympathy).

Bit strong, sid... :?

Personally I despise the likes of Rooney, Terry, Piglips Ferdinand, Cuntley, Ratboy Bentley and Lampard but honestly wouldn't wish that type of injury on even them. Financial ruin? Public humiliation? Yes. But not a terrible injury like that.

I've played footy for over 30 years and have seen some terrible injuries to players in that time and even if I had been battling some crunt and getting kicked about by him I would never wish an injury like that on them or be happy one had happened.

I'm not trying to take the moral high ground here, mate or make out I'm somehow a better person than you. I just don't like to see players receive that severe an injury. It is particularly bad in this case as Valencia seems to be a decent sort too. It's not like some people could point at him and go "Well, he's a dirty fucker, he got what he deserved".

I certainly am not a hypocrite. A short-arsed sarcastic crunt, maybe. But not a hypocrite. 8)

Strong I don't think so! I didn't wish the injury on Valencia, I simply said "I don't give a fuck" which I don't, and that I gave a wry smile which I did, (simply because it was a utd player).
I do think some of the posts on this thread stink of hypocrisy.
I will say no more.

A hypocrite is someone that says something but does the total opposite. There is nothing hypocritical is finding the comments you and mikey made distasteful - not on my behalf anyway.

And some of us don't need to pretend to be 'a humane person' because you'll find the majority of people are just that - certainly in comparison it seems to those that make tactless comments like "I don't care if the fucker never kicks a ball again" or "Feking funny. To be honest I'm quite happy it happened........."

The fact that you claim you were 'just being honest' doesn't automatically give you the high moral ground over people that found the comments distasteful, because that is making the assumption that others weren't being equally as honest in their feelings of disgust for those comments. How could you possibly know?
