Chamakh wants to play the North London Derby

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Chamakh wants to play the North London Derby

"I have spoken to the French players here like Gael Clichy and they told me that the atmosphere against Tottenham is hot, very hot – in fact they say it’s boiling!

And in the absence of the other players, if the coach wants me to play I will do so willingly.

I know the importance of the match against Tottenham. It is important for the players and for the supporters to win.

I do not know yet if I am playing but if I am picked I am happy to do so.

I understand that over the years the manager has picked young players for this competition but with the number of players we have injured maybe I will play.

The nearest we had to a derby game when I was at Bordeaux was against Toulouse. It was also a big atmosphere when we played against Marseille.

But they have told me that Arsenal and Tottenham is a huge game with a fantastic atmosphere. I love that kind of game."

Great attitude, but please don't play Chamakh tomorrow. Genuinely, the first NLD that I'm not watching through choice.

Agreed it's a bit see through, but maybe he is trying to relate to the fans? No harm in it.

I say play him! I can see him working his bollocks off to get a goal against the scum.

So far, the guy has been a work horse! he has done everything in his power to impress the fans and show he is good enough for the arsenal. TBH, i dont think Wenger can drop him when RVP comes back from injury. The guy is the strong lone striker who can hold the ball well and bring other into play we have been waiting for!

I know its very early days, but i been very impressed with him so far!

Agreed. He looks good so far. I wish we would put out a bit of a stonger team against the swampers but unfortunately we won't.

We're one injury away from having to play AA up front and after last season noone would want that surely?

IT'S THE SCUM! AT THE DRAIN!

Another reason Wenger has pissed me off. He didn't sign enough strong quality players to compete against these bastards in the shit cup. Now we have to nurse our players through every game in case they get a knock and the piss poor back up we have need to be used... :(

*Wenger, you're the one I'm after, you killed my frog! :-P

*Kevin "Bloody" Wilson

Exactly and as DB10 pointed out our squad is yet again way too small to compete assuming we do actually want to compete for both domestic cups  Those scummy bastards wont field a full team tomorrow night and tbh they probably wont have to as our back up's, especially in the strikers dept, are lightweight to say the least  Why oh why cant wenger see how buying all these midgety fcukers is killing us ? The english league is notorius for its physicality but we think we can buck the trend by playing a team of dwarves
