Anyone else off to the JG Dinosaur Picnic on Thursday?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyone else off to the JG Dinosaur Picnic on Thursday?

Post by CraigPollard »

Hi All,

18 months after i informed you all that a new Gooner has arrived safely into the world, my little princess becomes one of the 150 lucky Junior Gunners to be invited to the Dinosaur Picnic and Tea Party at the grove on Thursday being hosted by Gunnersaurus and Robin Van Persie...... :barscarf:

Anyone else on here taking their little'uns up to it?

Would be nice to "know" someone else (other than my daughter of course  )

Mike - i may see you there then!

I applied a while back and then i was away on business last week. Yesterday the misses says "Oh by the way, Peyton got a letter asking her to go to some picnic"

I said "Do you mean the Dinosaur Picnic?? - thats not an invite, its like a competition win!!!

She replies, "Oh fair enough, had you not put the football on (Chelsea vs Blackpool) I would have completely forgotten to tell you"

I would have been able to defend me actions had she told me on Friday! :barscarf:

But could one of you ask RVP why his legs are made of chocolate?

When i told my brother that she gets to meet RvP he asked if we had to go and visit him in the hospital - he also told me to bring flowers!

:barscarf:

I get the feeling that i will love it - and bubba will just be scared shitless off the giant dinosaur wondering about!

I've got to know the Junior Gunners team quite well over the years, and have many times been told how low the take up is for any competition / offer they run in the programme etc.

There have been a few occasions where they have had more prizes to give away than entries received, so for any JG's out there, my advice is to always enter the comps or apply for the functions they run as success rate is normally high.

Not to take anything away from the excitement around Thursday's day out of course.........

I wonder if RvP will pull out due to his injury?

Little kid runs into RVP -> 6 week setback.

They should keep him in a glass case the whole time.

Sounds like a neat little event for the young'uns, although I'm sure the parents will be the excited ones.

PS: RVP's legs made of "chocolate" LOL

It is only RvP's right leg that is made of chocolate.

"Dutch international Van Persie’s team fly out to Portugal today to face Porto in a Group G clash which will decide who finishes top of the section.
He said: “I know I can shoot with my right leg. Of course my left one’s better but it’s down to your belief in the power of your wrong leg. In Holland we call it your chocolate leg.â€
