As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
And yes he does, doesn't he!!! Especially up the Bourneville Boulevard. With a long phallic-shaped implement (preferably not lubricated); while wearing rubber gloves; and a mask; whilst Barry White's 'Forever and Ever' from the Greatest Hits Album plays in the background!!
NIgel Winterburn made a good comment on this. Hardly antone at Arsenal has won anything despite thier efforts. By winning this competition it gives our players that euphoric feeling of winning and success - nothing they have experienced so far. By doing this half way through the season it will give them the drive to win the league, CL and FA cup too. All to play for i say...
Funnily enough, for a guy that believes that wenger needs to be replaced, I actually totally support his policy of using this competition to blood our youngsters in I understand the thirst for any trophy that a lot of fans seem to have now and to some degree I agree with it but I prefer the possibility of developing our young players and reducing the risk of more injuries to our brittle first team players
If we do win this competition, it wouldn't mean as much to me unless it was our youngsters who won it. It's always been 'their' competition, and those kids put it all on the line in their rare first-team starts (look at Lansbury in the Sp*rs game). That's why, for me, it's so exciting to watch; for AW to put out our first team wouldn't quite feel right IMO.

Well said.
I dearly hope Wenger takes this competition seriously this season.
Dont care its the beer cup. Its about how the fans and the players feel on that day, how they feel when Wembley is going mad when they pick up that cup.
Its a feeling they are not used too and a feeling they will relish and want more of. At the moment they have never felt anything like that so yeh we should try for the fekin beer cup.
Not only that i think we as fans (the ones who go most matches) deserve it and it will only make us louder and more passionate about the team again.
For the arm chair fans and the media i agree it means fuck all, but for all that is there on the day and the build up matches it means the fucking world.
Winning this will help the team and the real fans in a big way. This will lead us to be stronger mentaly when playing in big matches where we normaly crumble

Shit trophy > No trophy.
Y**********do!!!!!!!!!
Are you honestly telling me that you'd rather not win it?
Like he wouldnt go if it was a Arsenal v Manc final at Wembley!
Obviously I wouldn't rather "not win it", but I would be concerned that it would be used to mask deficiencies within the squad.
And of course were we to play utd in the final then it would take on more "credibility"

Yeh that’s a good point and knowing Wenger he would use that as an excuse if we didn’t win anything else. I just feel for the players alone this would lead to other things. Look at Arsenal in 87….
End of the day The project started back in 2005 and really it was like Wenger starting all over again back to square one.

Yes, we took the piss..... But that doesn't mean that some of us weren't ever so slightly envious of seeing them lifting some silverware.
Equally, I remember what a great day out it was v Chelsea in Cardiff and feeling very relaxed before the game - and devasted after we lost having deserved to win....
I don't think it should get priority over the Premier League or CL, but I do think it would do everyone a bit of good to maybe take it more seriously than we have in the past. Think we're already in the last 16 having played only one match. So that means we can win a trophy having played in only 5 matches! That's got to be worth going for.....
