I guess thats why they are Champions

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hope that opened the eyes of some of the deluded Newcastle fans and the board. They are a shit team.

Today was like a 2006/7 revival.

We had most of the possession, didn't look as if we get the important goal.

If I'm pleased about anything it's that we aren't losing and have only done so in two games since the Emirates Cup.

Crocit you are right, there is still a long way to go and all three teams in the race will likely drop points between now and May. United needed to capitalise on our dropping points today and did so in style. Chelsea have closed the gap on us and are still in with a big shout of the title, especially with Anelka in their side. Both United and ourselves still have to visit the Bridge, so it is still all to play for. I just hope Cesc can start to find the goal scoring form that he had at the start of the season.

in all fairness today is a blip, all that can be taken as a plus is that this season we werent even predicted to be joint top, it could be worse, the mancs could be 3 points clear.
its just our luck that man utd played a very shit newcastle team that were managerless and closed the gap, in a few weeks time im sure the arse will play a newcastle team that has a manager and will be more organised.
i think that the midfield needs to find goals from somewhere, ade and eddie and giving their fair share, im not bothered about having a ronaldo in midfield because that to me isnt a team, i just feel that hleb and fab need to find what they had at the early part of the season.
the season isnt over yet and with fulham away next week it could be the kind of game that gets the arse back on track.
fulham are defensively poor and i witnessed them ship 5 goals against the spuds this season when i went as a freebie from a mate.
always remember arsene knows!!!!!!!!!

The team looked tired and unable to finish in the final third.

i'll upset a few and say i think chelski will win the league. i just get the impression that they will stay 1 or 2 points behind us and the manks until the last 4 or 5 games and end up winning it. i fucking hate chelski too.

I don't think that is such an unlikely outcome Gunner152. Everyone thought that their season would collapse after maurinho left but it didn't. Next it was that they would not have a team during the ACN but they seem to be doing okay. Writing off Chelsea too soon would be a big mistake.

I think we're overdoing it a bit here.

As I said earlier we've lost two in all competitions since August - the same as we had done at this point in 2002/3.

Failing to beat Birmingham is a slip up, but no more so than failing to beat Fulham or Pompey at home in 2002/3.

Man Ure slaughtered Newcastle 6-0 at home - as does usually happen when a side are without a manager as Newcastle are.
