Do you honestly believe that? the only people who might, are the devoutest of Wengerites, the fact is we shouldn't be in this position as it has been an obvious weakness for years, It is wengers fault and his alone, and using a 20 year old scapegoat won't wash with me nor should with anyone else.Iceman29 wrote:I am a wengerite and already mentioned my disappointment as to what went on today. ARROGANCE the notion that he could field an even weeker side than he already had available and still have enough to beat the baggies.
STUBBORNNESS the refusal to admit after 20-30minutes that this wasn't the case so carry on regardless, when all around knew he was wrong.
BELEF IN FUCKING AWFUL PLAYERS ie Almunia Diaby etc, the fact that thes players are at our club is a disgrace in itself. Almunia in particular because he is actually unbelieveably the best keeper we have available (I know people will say whar abour scezeny, but at the end of the day he is unproven, the only footage I've seen of him for us was in austria in pre-season, and he didn't look like anything special)
Defeat at chavski next week would mean 1 point form a possible 9, if there is a Wengerite on here who believes that is the form of champions then he should come forward now and explain how.
Just got home from the game, this wasn't just a defeat, it was embarrassing.
We all know that a great keeper can save 10 points a season whereas ours will cost us 10. Diaby is utter, utter shite and Eboue is right behind him. Defensively we are shocking, absolutely shocking.
Well done Mr Wenger, choosing not to play Wilshire AND Rosicky meant we had no creativity, you really don't have much of a clue do you, you should be a banker because your love for all things financial far outweigh your footballing prowess.
This is a sign of things to come!

The one way to take the heat off the of everyone - the Club, the Board, The Manager, and the Team would be to at least genuinely c hallenge to win the Premiership, and on today's performance they already had given up that idea ahead of today which is inexcusable and really sad.
I thiunk you are as gulity of underestimating the feelings of the supporters base as the Board is or Mr. Wenger was of West Brom today.
Besides what does it matter if all, most, some, or any of us happy? The Board doesn't care and are under no obigation to care as you were suggesting last night, and we have no right to expect them to or even to ask them to. So even if you were in fact right which I doubt at this point(three years ago, yes you'd be right)it would matter not a jot to the BBoard according to you and should not matter and we should be happy they allow us to pay the highest prices in English Football for the privelege of being an Arsenal supporter and shut the hell up.
That is what you think, right? I don't want to mis-speak

I believe anything is better than Almunia and Fabianski at the minute. I am not happy with AW not buying a keeper but calling for his head is not going to help the cause partly because he has just extended his contractgoonersid wrote:Do you honestly believe that? the only people who might, are the devoutest of Wengerites, the fact is we shouldn't be in this position as it has been an obvious weakness for years, It is wengers fault and his alone, and using a 20 year old scapegoat won't wash with me nor should with anyone else.Iceman29 wrote:I am a wengerite and already mentioned my disappointment as to what went on today. Well played all those who said "4-0, 5-0 hammering". Idiots.
Just in from the game. Pretty crappy performance all round today. Full credit to West Brom, thoroughly deserved the win & were the much better team.
We made them look like Barcelona. I spied arrogance in there, thinking that just turning up would give us a win. Plenty of standing off, not bothering to press or tackle when they were in possession. Despite a good start to the season, Manuel reverted to type. Good at stopping penalties but a tendency to come running off his line when there's no need. Please buy Given in January!
Would have been a little bit easier to take if this was away, but it was at our place ffs!
Could have made up some decent ground on the top today. If it weren't for Tevez & his new lesbian haircut we'd have been even more off the pace....

Look this is not about the board. Can you do a post without mentioning the word 'board' or 'directors'. I am not talking about the board here. I dont care about the board and the board does not care about me and I dont want that to change. Trust me the fans will be happy for winning cups at Wembley. I can guarantee you thatUSMartin wrote:Certainly those in the directors's box would.Iceman29 wrote:Probably most fans will agree with me that if we finish 3rd or 4th (and not challenge for the league) and win the fa cup and carling cup, they will be quite happyUSMartin wrote:It's quite clear . ok then I will bury my head in the sand for the next 4 years and everything will be fine. I’d have no real problem with that today so long as he’d publicly bollock the team collectively, and include himself for masterminding that shower of shit performance. Just lay down the fucking gauntlet for once & challenge them all to prove themselves. I’m assuming he didn’t though.Bring Back Pires wrote:Wenger: "I won't discuss mistakes or individual errors".
Spineless c**t.

100% on the arrogance but I can sort of understand the team selection tbh. Wilshire & Rosicky both played 120 mins midweek & last weekend. Granted they shouldn’t be “too tiredâ€goonersid wrote:Todays result is another example of the Wenger traits that those like myself on here have been highlighting for as long as I have been a member of this forum.

Just in, well done Baggies, you turned up had a game plan and had a willing opposing team and manager who decided that you were too shite to waste sleep over.
You didn't lump it forward till you had the 3 goal cushion, you kept the ball, played too feet and made us work for possesion.
The sad thing is I'm not bothered anymore, once I saw how the 2nd goal went in from the replay, it was a feeling of resignation. Chelsea slip up, the scum lose again, dippers draw at home to the mackems and we put in a disgraceful perfomance at home. Well done again baggies, thank you Arsene for bringing me back down to earth. Have a good night tonight Al, it's not your fault you are crap.
Roll on Belgrade and Chavski, the start of what could be a seriously bad week

Can I ask all the "wenger out" what hard evidence do you have that if a new manager is brought in there will be a clear and noticable change in our spending and team-building policy ? What can you point to besides quotes from the Board about money being available to spend all the way back to 2005 really but with no actual action of anysort that backed theses claims?
My concern is simple - this won''t end with a new manager unless whatever the Board is out to do now has been accomplished already. There will be no major change and possibly no change at all in our spending otherwise no matter who is managing the team.
In which case a lot of the ciriticism levelled at the manager may in fact be very unfair and just plain untrue.
If I genuinely knew in fact the manager was the sole impediment to investing more in better players I'd reluctantly but immediately stand with the "wenger out" group but I see no real evidence that that is the case.
Anmd that is not the case not only is it terribly unfair to him but tour selves as well as we will be the ones who are let down if there is no real change.
So again does anyone have hard evidence that the manager chose to reject money to sign certain players or a certain level of quality players?

I don't think he will see out the 4 year as I believe he will eventually be forced out when the fans turn on him.Iceman29 wrote:Mate! You can do whatever you like. As for the comment "doing the same" I meant you were doing exactly as I was suggsting I should do, "hoping all would be fine". When quite clearly it's not.
