Karl Henry . . . . . .

Karl Henry . . . . . .

Post by Jumpers For Goalposts »

. . . . . . is a total arse!!

Has anyone seen his shocking foul today on Jordi Gomez, the Wigan striker?? It was easily as bad and possibly worse than the ones by Taylor and Shawcross.

Thankfully Gomez was airborne when he was hit because if Henry had hit Gomez's planted leg he wouldn't have just broken it, he'd have taken the guy's foot off.

It was totally reckless with absolutely no thought for the safety of an opponent. And this from someone that has already broken an opponent's leg this season (Bobby Zamora).

As a supporter of the team that is on the receiving end of several of these "tackles" I'm sick to bloody death of British managers like McCarthy, McLeish, Araldite and Pulis sending their teams out hyped up and using brawn because they can't be bothered to coach any skills into their thugs.

It will be interesting to see what stance the FA take because this is the worst "tackle" I've seen in years. It can't be right that a red card for a mis-timed tackle as the last man gets the same punishment as an out and out attempt to intimidate and possibly end the career of an opponent.

Over to the Old Gits in blazers at Lancaster Gate!!

Spot on mate, it was a horrendous challenge and Gomez, even though his foot wasnt planted, actually went head over heels. Could've been absolutely horrific, and if his foot had been planted, it wouldve hit full pelt half way up his leg - definite career ending challenge.

He should be perma-banned. He has been sent off numerous times for ridiculously dangerous tackles (wasn't he sent off against us last season, and perhaps before then too?).

The guy isn't a footballer. He's an animal.

Agree with all above. It was a complete joke of a tackle. It was only 10 minutes in and they weren't losing so there was no urgency to get the ball. Like all above said if his foot was planted that could of been a career ending tackle. To be fair to McCarthy he said he deserved the red which is more than what that *word censored* came out and said about Shawcross after the game.

It's about time these *word censored* were made to pay with long bans for fucking ignorant, dangerous tackles like that. Have some awareness and self-control.

I don't often listen to Talksport for obvious reasons but Collymore the prick is now on slating Karl Henry and how to ban these thugs. Did he not stick up for Shawcunt last season but it's ok cause he isn't that type of lad!

But getting back to it Karl Henry is a dirty thug of a footballer and was lucky to get away with that today

Against Newcastle he was always kicking Barton, it's amazing Barton wasn't injured at the end of the game.

This was written a fortnight ago. Like Shawcross, he's got previous.

Absolutely horrific - absoltely unnacceptable and inexcusable. But he'll be back in three weeks and he'll get someone really badly before he's done. Shame that seems to be somehow acceptable in any football.

This is England tho, any 'hard' football is acceptable here, shame it stops technically and tactically decent players coming thru, causing the national team to be shit and do fuck all at major tournaments :banghead:

McCarthy: "“It’s a bad decision [from the player] and it’s just sad for Karl because he’s not that way inclined and it’s a reckless challenge".

*word censored*. Hope they go down this season.

Exactly - it's not just bad for English League but for Emglish National Team Football.

Clearly honoring tradition is more important than achieving success now
to some .
