Has anyone seen his shocking foul today on Jordi Gomez, the Wigan striker?? It was easily as bad and possibly worse than the ones by Taylor and Shawcross.

Thankfully Gomez was airborne when he was hit because if Henry had hit Gomez's planted leg he wouldn't have just broken it, he'd have taken the guy's foot off.

It was totally reckless with absolutely no thought for the safety of an opponent. And this from someone that has already broken an opponent's leg this season (Bobby Zamora).

As a supporter of the team that is on the receiving end of several of these "tackles" I'm sick to bloody death of British managers like McCarthy, McLeish, Araldite and Pulis sending their teams out hyped up and using brawn because they can't be bothered to coach any skills into their thugs.

It will be interesting to see what stance the FA take because this is the worst "tackle" I've seen in years. It can't be right that a red card for a mis-timed tackle as the last man gets the same punishment as an out and out attempt to intimidate and possibly end the career of an opponent.

Over to the Old Gits in blazers at Lancaster Gate!!
McCarthy is Irish.

Karl Henry seems to go full steam ahead into tackles and to hell with the concequences.

He was a disgrace against both Fulham and Newcastle imo.

"Karl Henry sent off against Arsenal
Henry's dismissal was the first of his career

Wolves captain Karl Henry has accused Arsenal players of "going down like a sack of spuds" after he was sent off during the sides' Saturday meeting.

Henry received a straight red card for his tackle on midfielder Tomas Rosicky as his side lost 1-0 at the Emirates.

"It was never a red card, it is an absolute disgrace. He is up and running around two minutes later," said the 28-year-old midfielder.

"Arsenal moan a lot and their players go down like a sack of spuds." "

I think Henry is a little confused. Surely it's the Spurs players that go down like a sack of spuds? :?

This was written a fortnight ago. Like Shawcross, he's got previous.
Disgusting piece of shit. He clearly chose to stand on Theo's leg, after he'd fouled him. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

He is all that is Bad in the game....I know McCarthy was a rough house when he used to play - henry takes to all time low....it's not many players that get me to side with joey barton - but his absolute non-sporting total thuggery approach when wolves played the toon was disgusting - he should simply be banned from the game - he has no skill whatsoever and is simply there to hurt and eliminate the oppositions key players by any means necessary

He's scum and should be handed a ban from the prem...not possible I know...but every game I've seen hiim in he simply takes players out - and has already broken Zamora's leg and will do even more damage if allowed to continue.....

The guy isn't a footballer. He's an animal.

Guy commentating today said that was only his second red card in his career but not sure if he meant in his wolves career or his football career but it was a terrible challenge. As usual an english player making a dangerous tackle because they are not capable of skilful football. And then the english media wonder why they dont do well in international competitions.

McCarthy is'nt Irish, he played for Ireland back in the days when they picked British players because their grandmothers drank a pint of Guinness in 1906. Always hated the *word censored*, stereotypical northern, Arsenal hating twat with little or nothing to offer the game as a manager apart from what Wolves do, evident for all to see

Somebody actually made a good point on the doggers phone in show (I know, right) earlier. It was highlighted that players like henry/taylor/shawcross go into tackles like this in search of positive crowd reaction. Maybe its the same all over the world but there is definately a tendancy in England to cheer the crunching tackle, even more so then a piece of skill.

That tackle was as bad as it gets.

Fucking shocking.

I'll be watching the NFL double header straight after tomorrow's game, that shit Henry brings to the table wouldn't be far out of place in those games.
