As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Great interview with Merse by Bob Wilson on Arsenal TV last night. The Merse has (in my opinion) let himself down a bit lately with some pretty negative comments about the mighty Arse, but last nights interview was a revelation. He may be a chav fan but he is an "Arsenal Man". He seems to really understand and appreciate what this club did for him and is rightly proud of what he achieved here and takes pride in being associated with the Gunners.
I suppose alot of players that are now making a living as pundits are probably afraid of saying too many complimentary things about their old clubs in case they are viewed as being biased and will get less work, so some of his more negative comments are probably down to that.
Also, I think we are all a bit overly sensitive when it comes to our own club (I know I can be) and the idea that a legend might say something negative (but honest) about the club we love which colours our view of what was said to a certain extent.
Loved the story about Wrighty ambushing Steve Bruce in the tunnel at the theatre of divers... Still can't believe the official club channel left that in, to be honest.
