usual thread starter… Seems like there is a hell of a lot of abuse of the players in the crowd these days. Do these people expect perfection every match? It’s not going to happen. Arsenal will be underperform sometimes and we all feel frustrated. But surely, at such times, it’s better – if you are particularly vocal – to get behind the team and try and create an atmosphere that makes the opposition uncomfortable (without racist terminology!) and encourages our boys? Isn’t that a no brainer? Seemed to work against Man Utd the last couple of seasons.

how pathetic. Granted, i do agree with you that giving your OWN teams players abuse doesn't help anything. However getting all precious about swearing and use of the 'Y word' in a FOOTBALL GROUND is pathetic. No wonder the atmosphere in the stadium is so bad. If you don't enjoy the singing, standing, banter then watch it on the tv. Can't believe that the gooner, which use to be such a good fanzine, would print drivle like this.

Well, I am guilty if anyone is. This was an email sent to me in my role as website ed, and, with the view that it backed up the other exclusive posted today, I thought it was worth exposure. If I'm wrong, hands up, the judgment's gone. I post a wide variety of Arsenal-related stuff on the main part of the site. Can't expect universal approval, but there you go.SPUDMASHER wrote:In response to ' A Question of Loyalty'
What a bizarre article to be on the main site!
I generally read most of the main articles and find them interesting, sometimes stimulating and frequently informative. This article does none of that and I cannot imagine how it qualified as a main page feature.
It's all quite fair that the writer has his say to which he is undoubtedly entitled, but his piece was no more than a forum posting and a very average one at that!
