Romelu Lukaku...?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Post by mikeyb772001 »

Lots of reports around the ever correct web that weve signed this guy, or some kind of deal is going on...?
Not really heard of him to be honest. Yet again another kid so i bet its all true.

Links?

He's banging the goals in Belguim. 17, Build like a brickhouse, 6.3 (?) and labelled the new Drogba.
I don't take these 'labels' well but I believe this is some serious player whoever he plays for.

I heard the Chavs want him and even offered his dad a job :? so that they could sign him but his dad wanted him to stay in Belgium for a couples more years. Who knows after that but i reckon the chavs will be first in the queue

Makes another strong link in the team having TV there also.

Looks our type of player.

But with Afobe, Aneke and Wellington Silva of similar age and promising great things, am not sure Wenger is looking to buy a younger striker right now.

I think the fact that his club rate him at £12m plus and he is catching the eye of most of Europe's top clubs should tell you everything you need to know about our chances of signing him

The fact that he is 17 and not proven also shows we have a strong chance of signing him. Remember a certain theo who was sold for 12mil.

Tbh i think we could spend this money on someone more proven. Spuds got VdV for 8 mil FFS!

arsene is determined to find young talent, he doesn't want to sign established players. remember the quote: "we don't sign stars- we make them", or something? yeah like denilson and diaby are going to go for £30 million to inter and real madrid :banghead:
