Which is what I said!!Flattuso wrote:http://www.offside-ref.co.uk/laws/11-of ... /detailed/
The red number 9 isn't beyond the blue 4 defender but is offside because the goal keeper isn't back. This is one of those rare occasions where goal keeper is out of the goal (e.g. last minute of F.A. Cup final on a corner kick) and can't get back in time but if the attacking team play the ball as they normally would, then it would be offside because the offside rule requires two defenders to be in front the attacker and the goal keeper usually counts as a defender.

Peter Hill Wood....Mineral enthusiaist?
O fcourse you won't because the club can bank away another 50 million pounds see the share price spike higher and Board members who stiill have shares to sell can make even bigger profits.QuartzGooner wrote:Wilshere was very good once again, if he carries on like this I will not be so worried when Cesc leaves.
You are willing to promise though that you and your fellow Board members won't put is the situatiion Liverpool ended up in and Man U might end up in just to make even more money, aren' t you sir?
Seriously Jack Wilshere is a very promising young player who I think will become a top player, but this is silly.
The bottom line is according to Pravda.com Wilshere had only one first-team goal - though a very nice one - in 12 appearances while Cesc has four in just six appearances. While Arsenal naturally enough to not record assists offically intheir statistics I think it's safe to say overall that Wilshere may again solely down to superior number of appearances have 2-3 more assists than Cesc.
The idea that he is now ready to replace Cesc regualrly or that close to it, is like deciding after a month that Denilson was every bit as good as Flamini which would have been - was proven to be - utterly ridiculous.
And it's this mentality though no doubt, that the real Mr. Hill-Wood and other Board members possess and have since 2005. Any opportunity to make more money simply must bebtakken - the impact on the team is entirely secondary. But its clear. Bergkamp-Genius addressed it brilliantly last night
In other words the transition that is supposed to end as the youth system matures in to a genuine first-team is not going to end. We will be in perpetual transition and probaly win little and maybe nothing at all while we are, as we cash in and ciut high wages at every opportunity so that just as it appears we have turned the final corner we find ourseleves turning another corner or two again and again. Your thinking if the Board shares it betrays theyouth system we were sold on (some of us anyway) as the lie it appeared was and appears it it still is.Bergkamp-Genius wrote: Yea Wilshere is looking top notch, and i suppose that is the irony of the project of building a team, the reality is the team never gets built. When one brick is added it's the catalyst for another one or two to get removed to complete someone elses build...It's sad to think that the better Jack looks the more nailed on it will be that Cesc will be allowed to leave at the end of the season..
Saying that if Jack continues looking the part as he is it won't be long before he will be on his bike aswell..
Oh and one last thing on young Jack being able to replace Cesc regularly, promising as he is,there's not a chance in hell he might do that until he learns how to tackle properly some, becuase he will untterly ineffectibve in defesive capacity at all, and his bad tackled will limit his impact offensively too if they lead to straight reds especially or just second yellows even.

Was a good game, just got my voice back after singing to the death last night, only a handful of people in the Clockend joined in.
Respect to those who did.
I have nothing but love for Eduardo and when I knew we was going to win the game I was really hoping he would score just so I can say I've seen him score for and against Arsenal and be cheered by the Gunners faithful both times.
Love the guy.
