Ian Holloway - lol

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He sounds like a slightly drunk old man moaning about immigration.

The guy is a fantastic character in the game.
When at QPR i attended a coaching seminar and he was brilliant, he helped me with so many of my questions and when i coach i use many of his ideas.

Lovely fella but at times i do think he is sucking Fergie's cock

LOL in what way would Rooney staying be good for the game and why would "everyone" want that? Some of these managers are really using this as an excuse to lick ferguson's arse.

Totally agree.

Ian Holloway is a cut above other managers. He has a straight-forward attitude to the game and doesn't seem to be in it purely for the money.

I have a massive amount of respect for the guy. Blackpool are lucky to have him.

I like the guy.

He realised that he was ranting, and said that people would probably have a laugh at his outburst. :)

He's dead right imo, and he's a decent guy as well, shame more managers aren't like him in the league

I'm liking Ian Holloway more and more whenever i hear him speak and he got it spot on yet again... When players sign 3 year + contracts it's broadcast all over the news/papers like it's a massive coup for the club knowing the player will be with them for another 4 years... All it means is the club management and players agent have met basically saying that if the player wants to move then get him to sign a long contract with us so we will get a lot more money for him if we sell him with 3 years left on his contract than if he had one year left. The clubs are as bad as the players, befoer they get someone to sign a contract there should be some written agreement saying if you sign for 4 years that means 4 years, if you want to f%ck off after 2 then we have the right to get back half your wages for the time you have served with us.
