Oh hang on......no he won't as " he see's great spirit and potential blah blah blah blah"!

Sorry I know I am now about to be branded a blasphemous pig!

i think AW should sign another striker i would imagine RVP to miss most of the rest of the season. hardly shouldered the burden of no TH14 this season has he.

Thats why we should have tried to get Anelka.I said in a earlier post that RVP is now a serious issue. How many injuries can he get? I think he started just 7 games in 2007.Its no good saying what a great player he is when he never plays.

Wenger must buy a striker now we cant go into the title run in and the CL with just Ade,Bendtner and Eduardo

I think RVP is a great player but how long can we keep patience with the amount of time he spends sidelined  As already mentioned in another thread, Wenger wont buy cos he is out to prove a point to himself

am i on my own in thinking theo could play upfront? i know wenger keeps playin him as winger but i seriously think he will prove his worth down the middle...running at defenders...i know this might not solve our striker issue but worth a try from AW.
there is NO way he can continue to play adebayor on his own upfront or with either eduardo or bendtner because this partnership does not work. adebayor shud b dropped and we shud start with ed/bendtner IMO.

I think ultimately Wenger will play TW32 in the middle but I am not convinced he is ready for this yet as he appears to shy in front of goal. I agree with you that Eddy & Nic should start and Ade the clown confined to the bench. Yes Ade has scored a few but I believe the other two, given enough starts would be more fruitful.

Drop the guy who happens to be our top scorer?

I dont think Theo is ready yet to be starting matches week in week out for us in whatever position. He runs at defenders, then gets crowded out. He has been extremely painfully ordinary. RVP is a huge concern. Lets not forget why we let Henry go, he wasnt physically the same player and missed far too many matches. Now its the same case with RVP and quite frankly I dont see it as getting better even in the future. Arsene needs to buy another striker, but we know he wont.

Well it seems Arsene Wenger would have had to buy a striker if Togo actually qualified for Africa Cup of Nations. He hardly ever plays Walcott up front; Bendtner is unproven and inexperienced; while Da Silva has not shown what he can do against big teams yet. Togo qualifying could have been a blessing in disguise because Wenger would almost surely sign a striker like Anelka.

I am still unsure about Robin van Persie, he is getting too many injuries and he even got flu after recovering from an injury (again). We still haven't seen consistency from him, although glimpses of class have been seen. Also, I don't think he is really a player that will score loads of goals.

UNFORTUNATELY HE IS JUST NOT A GOOD ENOUGH FINISHER YET TO PLAY UP FRONT.

STEADY HOLLY, OR WE MIGHT FALL OUT!!   THE MAN IS OUR TOP GOALSCORER AFTER ALL!! ADE ESSENTIALLY CAN PLAY UP FRONT ON HIS OWN (AS HE HAS DONE FOR A LARGE PART OF THE SEASON) AND ALSO WITH EITHER DUDU OR NIC. IT'S JUST SOME OF US WOULD PREFER THAT RVP WAS FIT AND PLAYING ALONGSIDE HIM TO SEE HOW THAT PARTNERSHIP WORKS. 8) ALAS,THE DUTCHMAN IS ALWAYS INJURED!!

i admit ade has scored crucial goals this season and i wud play him if robin was fit cos that partnership works...but atm i wud prefer bendtner and eduardo starting. i went to the game sat and we looked much better wen bendtner came on, i fink given a few starts he wil do great things for us. if robin came back nx week however i wud say put him n ade upfront...

then again maybe take a risk and try walcott upfront, let him run at defenders. understandably he has not proven to be too confident in front of goal but again giving him more startd and surely playing him where he feels comfortable might make a difference? (sorry im desperate for theo to do well :D )

ALSO...i want our midfielders to start bloody scoring again, remember wen we had rosicky, hleb and fabby scoring. i fink that is a big issue atm, we need to be threatening all over the pitch...on sat we did not look like scoring and dint have ne ideas upfront and dint test the keeper :(
