Arshavin?
Arshavin?
I was just reading on the official that he turns 30 in May!!! I thought he as about 25! With his lack of form and lack of interest and I think his contract is due to expire in 18 months, if we could get a decent offer for him in January or the summer would you let him go?

Would sell him January.
We had a good first half season from him but only occasional flashes of excellence since, what gets me most frustrated is his sluggishness and low workrate.
Would rather see Walcott and Nasri as the wide men, or even Gibbs get a game in Arshavin's wide left position.
That said, if he does stay next season and Cesc goes, would be interested to see how Arshavin plays central of the three attacking midfielders in the Bergkamp role, which to me is his "natural" position.

There was a stat on Sky the other week... AA23 has created 3.3 goalscoring chances per game in the PL, more than any other player and has either a goal or an assist every 38 minutes in the CL - second only to Samuel Eto'o.

Imagine what he could do if he actually put in some effort

Lies damn lies and statistics, same stato bright sparks have decided AW is the best manager in the World kind of makes you wonder why Del Bosque,Mourinho and Ancelotti bother working at all, they've obviously got it all wrongDan_85 wrote:There was a stat on Sky the other week... AA just needs a break in my opinion. A little chance to relieve some of the pressure and also remind him that Arsenal has other options for his position. That might provide the inspiration that he needs to resume his sparkling form, because the key difference between when he first arrived and now is that earlier he was playing to impress the team and the fans... now he feels too assured in his role.
He had the whole summer! Unlike most of our squad. Theo and Nasri had a break all summer, they've improved vastly since last season. No excuse.Barriecuda wrote:AA just needs a break in my opinion.
