Arsene's obsession

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

vidic..languising at sparta prague as a 21 yo ann both now part of the best defence in the league
Vidic has never played for Sparta Prague in his life! You bought him from Spartak Moscow where he was the key player and certainly was not in reserves
Rooney , bought at 17 ...with no england caps..
You are either joking or are stupid! You bought him when he was a few weeks short of his 19th birthday for £30 million after a great Euro 2004 therefore he had loads of caps when he joined you; you should know that

Now, I wonder what you'll say

Ok khalid ...I used a little poetic licence..but ..the point based in its context was that United paid a shed load for proven players....

a total of 12.5m for two of the best defneders, playing in unfashionable teams is hardly like paying 40m to real madrid or Barca is it?

as for rooney ..he was free and we covered that ages ago.

Poetic Licence

Good god. in my day we called it talking bollocks and not knowing what the fuck you were on about. Also known as gobshiteing.

Poetic licence is when you say that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and therefore must be destroyed.

Poetic licence.......commonly known as bullshit!

So agreed you had to make up "facts" to justify your arguement!

Jesus I fuckin hate Mancs.................. L'pool, Chelsea and even the Spuds you can have proper debates, heated debates and even full blown arguments with but at least it involves facts and they address your points and give the club credit were credit's due and for the same reasons even they all say the same thing "Jesus I fuckin hate Mancs" :!:

Well I think there was a bit of a contradiction there, don't you? As for quick witted, just because you can hide behind the same couple of recycled come-backs you have, doesn't make you quick witted. It's ironic that you have a go at us for this 'cyber population', when it is you who seems so obsessed with creating this cyber-persona for yourself in which you're a 'quick witted, well informed and thick skinned manc'.

No one is buying that, I'm afraid.

Do stick around though, as it’s always a good laugh seeing someone who clearly suffers from a bit of social anxiety come on to an online forum and give it the big ‘un about how they’re so amazing and wonderful, whilst (effectively) sticking their fingers in their ears and blocking out the noise when someone proves them wrong (once again).

Quick-witted: too incoherent for that.
Well informed: well I think that one’s been put to bed.
Thick skinned: you’re on a bloody forum, mate. You’re clearly one of those who gets off sitting behind a computer screen trying to convince people how tough he is. I’m afraid that posting on a forum, no matter how many people are against you, will never prove that you are ‘thick skinned’. In fact, to assume otherwise is a bit, dare I say it, thick.

it's a shame that those morons come on here and take it all so seriously, why do they never have a sense of humor, especially these mancs who cannot for the life of them engage in light hearted banter as opposed to making out their club as the greatest in the history of football, which it clearly is not on any concievable scale, they haven't even been the best team of any era.

Just a question to you lot (including Panto):

According to Panto, players like Rooney cost nothing because the money they spent, they have made back on other player sales. Therefore, I put this to you;

1) Do you think United have made a profit or lost money on transfers since Ferguson has been in charge?

and

2) How much profit/deficit do you think they're operating under (and remember, we're talking simply on Panto's logic here - transfers)?

i was talking of all clubs not just in england, AC milan won the champions league twice in the 90's the standard of the english league was not yet at the level it was abroad, you may as well say rangers are one of the world's biggest clubs due to their number of domestic titles (no offence to rangers) there were plenty of european clubs that would have been more than a match for manch through most of the 90's.
